Has anyone tried the Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland? Is it where the McDonald's fry cart was? Thanks for any info.

Yes, we tried it on our recent trip. It was very good. The chicken breast sandwich was very juicy and it comes with a dressing mixture of mayonnaise, tomatoes and shredded lettuce. I am not a tomato eater and I didn't even scrape it off -- it was that good. The kids had chicken nuggets and they ate all of them. We were on the DDP and they don't have kids meals, so it was okay for them to get the "adult" meal for them. The fries were good. I would definitely search this little stand out again. We were trying desperately to find food at night. Columbia Harbour House was closed and Pecos Bills is closed for refurbishment. The Mexican cantina was open and offering limited choices, but the kids meals were only PB&J sandwiches and I knew my kids wouldn't like that. We stumbled upon this little snack cart and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It was probably the best CS food we had the entire trip.

Did you ever have the chicken sandwich from Tusker House when it was a CS location?.... if so how did this sandwich compare? I miss those chicken sandwiches and have been craving them ever since the last one I had, LOL, and have been wondering if they would offer it again somewhere else. I know if it is then a WHOLE lot of people would be very happy !!!

I can't compare because we never had the one at Tusker House CS, but if they were better than this, then WOW that must have been a great chicken sandwich!:cool1:

I will not get a chicken sandwich that comes with mayonnaise - but it's sort of good to know they have a place that will sell chicken sandwiches.

Awesome! That's what I was hoping to hear. I want to try their veggie flatbread wrap in March! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience.

Actually, the chicken breast sandwich is served with Ranch dressing drizzled over the lettuce and tomato, not mayo.

I had the veggie flatbread wrap when we there the end of Jan and it was delicious!!!!

Oops, sorry. I knew it was something white and creamy.:lmao: The lettuce and bits of tomato were mixed into it. You would have to pay me to eat a slice of tomato, and even then I don't think I could do it (unless a Disney trip was up for grabs).

I'll stop in tomorrow when I arrive for my first day of 14 days of magic!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

My DH would love this!

Thanks again for the great info everyone! I'm looking forward to seeking out the Golden Oak Outpost in a few weeks!
