Does anyone have this and does it really work? It is like a watch with a dial to subside nausea. I love rides and will consume vials of dramamine in order to ride them. There are only a few rides that I just can't do. However, if there is hope that this little contraption may work. I'm game. Its a little pricey at $80. ( = 106 dramamine which is about a 13 day supply for me) So if it worked I would definately make out!

My sister used a band on her wrist when she was working on a halibut fishing boat in Alaska. It worked wonderful and she usually gets pretty seasick. I don't know if there's different bands though. Hers was elastic with a hard part on a pressure point?

I use it all the time on boats, but I'm not sure I would recommend it for parks. To me it's more of a preventative measure that does well combating wave action or car/airplane motion, but I don't think you would see the same results for rides because it comes on so fast there. The band also doesn't help much after the nausea grabs a hold. You'd also have to be careful not to wear it on rides with water, unless you're into electroshock therapy. ;)

I'd stick with drugs, as needed. I buy generic Meclizine (Bonine) from the pharmacist or Drugstore.com in a bottle of 100. It's OTC and A LOT cheaper.

I've used a relief band at the parks and it works wonders. You can wear it if you know you are going to get nauseous or if you get off of something and you feel that way. I would highly recommend it.

Thank you all, I really would like to try it out. Just wish if I knew it would work for me. Thanks again.

Poohgirl,
Rather than spend $80.00  on the Reliefband without knowing if it will work for you, why not try Sea-Bands. I use them when I ride looping coasters, which sometimes make me sick. They also got me through my second pregnancy--I wish I had known about them during my first! They generally run between $8.00 and $10.00.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I HATE being nauseous!
