Anyone tried making pretzels

Having eaten a preztel recently in the uk (yes uk, new franchise opened)

I was craving one lol. Anyhow playing on iPad with free apps I came across betty crocker cooking, stumbled across pretzel receipe, so busy at min, waiting for them to come out of oven. Made cinnamon and basic salt ones.

Hope not disappointed. Has anyone made any before

I wish they still sold those chocolate Pretzel Flipz over here, that used to come in a little blue bag. Those were lush!

Yes will let you know, the stand that I went to the other day sold chocolate, jalepino (sp lol), cinnamon, hotdog ones plus others

Well that was interesting, edible however did not taste like WDW, more English scones .

Well need more practice or find another recipe.

I think most pretzel recipes contain yeast (not that I've made them myself) - as far as I can see the Betty Crocker one doesn't.

Yes I noticed that however they did rise quite a bit still.

well if you find a good recipe let me know, I crave them regularly and the only place I could get one really would be to drive an hour to Bluewater, they're not even that great

Pretzels are something that are constantly on my must try to make list but I never seem to get around to

I do agree that all good pretzels and the ones at Disney do all definitely contain yeast. I found some recipes on the restaurant board which might be worth an experiment with.
