Just curious..has anyone done a East to West coast flight on Continental recently? We are booked on the June 24th 9am flight from Newark to San Diego and are scheduled to get breakfast. Because my 2 sons, ages 10 & 5, are traveling with us I am curious what type of food we can expect.

I know I will be bringing extra food for the flight but just wondering if the meal will work for them..thanks

When our flights used to include meals (American doesn't anymore! : ( )
I would call the airlines in advance to check on this. I did it because I am courious and I have two small kids. I made the decision at that time to request a kids meal or regular adult meal. They were always helpful and gave me the info I needed. I was also able t find out what movie we would be seeing both ways.

Good luck

We just flew with Continental from May 9 to 18 from BUF to Orange County (SNA), via Newark on the way out and via Detroit on the way back. We have a 4 and 5 yrs old with us.

The Newark-SNA leg was around dinner time and they served a meal. It was really a tray with packaged potato salad, warm chicken burger sandwich, chocolate-covered cookies. :sad2:

The flight from SNA back to Detroit took over 4 hrs and over 'breakfast' time yet they did not serve anything. We left for the airport at 6:30 am, SNA at 8:30am and didn't eat until we de-planed in Detroit at about 4pm (local time).

Thank goodness I packed enough 'snacks' for the kids. I would suggest calling the airline to ask for sure and it never hurts to bring extra food/snack with you.
