Anyone think two weeks is too long?

I agree. I love the at-sea days. I love the ship moving and watching the water from my verandah or from Deck 10. Nothing beats it.

We are looking forward to the 14 days! I hardly spent much time in the room, but spent a LOT of time reading on deck four. My only concern is to have enough reading material.

My dd did not want to leave the 7 day. I think she'll miss her grandparents and pets (as usual).

We go on 2 week vacations every summer, and if it a land based vacation ie, Orlando, we are more than ready to go home by day 10. However, on our cruises, 7 days is not nearly enough!! We have two sons,ages 5 and 8. On our last cruise, they were beside themselves when we disembarked. I wasn't too happpy either. I don't think 14 days is too much. A cruise is the most relaxing and carefree vacation you'll ever have.

So many different opinions--thats what I love about this board! We're still not sure what we are going to do but I am definitely going to hang on to both ressies for a while. We will be going on our 1st 7 day on August 21 so that will give me a feel for how we do.

Seriously though, I would love to do two weeks; however, I would only do it if I had a cabin with a balcony. I think more than a week in a tiny shoebox cabin would be too much for me.

We did the 7 day Eastern with our kids and never found time to go to Palo, the Spa, or even swim in any of the pools on board.
Shortest cruise my wife and I have ever done is 7 days, did a 10 day once, and I did a 14 day once when I was single on a very small French ship, (MS Mermoz), and it wasn't too long.

Remember, when you see the kids and parents stressing out and having meltdowns after 5 or 6 days, they are trying to "do it all". Everyone is up early and they are staying up late, day after day and night after night. Doing this you get frazzeled.

With 14 nights, I believe that I won't feel like I have to do it all, every day and every night. I will probably get more good nights sleep because I won't be getting up early every day. And I probably won't stay out late every night.

I hope that they will give us an "overview" navigator on the repo cruises so that we can get a feel for what activities will be repeated so we don't have to try and fit it in the first time it comes up. You know that I would like to go to Mickey Mania once - there is always something else that is going on at the same time that "wins" out of MM. There are others too.

I have been on the 3 day (Way too SHORT!! Never again!!) and (2) 7 days Eastern Carib. While i did like the 7 day but i still felt i haven't seen enough. I felt rushed to get to Palo's for 1 night, do the spa, my kids always feel they don't want to miss a single thing in the clubs, etc...The 14 days will be more relaxing for the family and plus different excursions this time.

We did a back-to-back last year and it was just the best holiday ever! (Visiting so many places, without having to drag our suitcases along!)However, we were NOT travelling with very young children.It is very apparant, after just a few days, that guests caring for very young children were finding life a little stressed.
Many little ones were burning up in the severe heat of the Caribbean, and sobbing, as they were SO tired and hot.(Cruising has that tiring effect on adults too!) Personally, we would never had taken tiny children cruising - especially for 14 days. Yes, Disney has plenty to do for the older children, but it cant be too much fun for babes - having to wear nappies (diapers) - in the intense heat.
If you are intending to take children under 3, maybe consider taking along "babysitters" (parents/aunts, etc.) to give you a well earned breather during the day. I think one week is enough, until children are older. Just my opinion folks. Nat

I can't wait for the CA to FL 14 day cruise. There is so much to do on the ship I don't see how we can get bored. My DD will be almost 3 years old, but I don't see that as a problem. We just have to take our time doing things and relax. I definitely don't think that 14 days is too long.
