If so - what was it like? How do they handle trick or treating with the kids... dress up party... etc. etc?

Any feedback would be great!

Did it a few years back on the Magic special day of costumes parades and lots of people dressed up, kids parade and adults parade and alos CM's as pirates, but did get a bit busy

We did the 2003 Magic halloween cruise. It was fun there was a costume contest and neat things going on. One word of caution, DCL's trick or treating for the kids was horrible. I was so glad that on our cruise meet thread we had arranged to do a DIS trick or treat, as it was sooo much better.

We were on the 2004 Halloween cruise on the Magic and it was terrific! But the DIS Trick or Treating was way better than the DCL TorTing! And my kids came away with tons of candy and Halloween treats from our DIS friends! The DCL TorTing was very busy but mostly at the first station. Once you got past the first or second stations, the crowds seemed to thin out a bit and it wasn't so crowded.

My kids were disappointed that they were going to miss Halloween at home at first but with the TorTing on the ship, they were just fine.

We did the Halloween cruise a couple of years back and will be doing it again this year. The DIS group Trick-or-Treating was great and we loved it. There is a cruise meets thread over on the cruise meet board for this sailing. Come over and join us.

In 2003 the weather was perfect@

thanks for the info- Im really leaning towards switching our May 2006 cruise till the fall and the kids would get a kick out of being on the ship trick or treating. Im just worried about the weather esp since its the end of hurricane season and as a fla girl- I have seen way to much this past year. as I type we are getting pounded with rain from the tropical storm!!! :sad2:

We cruised in 2002 w/Sue Ellen and the DIS trick-or-treat was the BEST! Definitely link up with your DIS friends beforehand and plan something. We did Oriental Trading Co stuff and the kids loved it.

The next year we cruised on 11/1 so we were at the Radisson on 10/31 and did a pre-cruise meet/Halloween party at the pool - the kids loved that again and it was a great way to meet everyone prior to the cruise.

The weather for both of those cruises was fabulous. Plenty warm (downright hot at times) and hurricane season is usually pretty much over by late Oct/early Nov.

Our kids get fall break off which is usually the 3rd week of Oct and we have another cruise booked (this time Mariner to give RCCL a try) - it's the perfect time of year to cruise as far as we're concerned

When we were on the Magic in 2004, the water was a little rough but not enough to make us feel sick (and I'm very prone to motion sickness). The weather was wonderful! Beautiful sunny days and hot but not exhaustingly hot!

It was a fantastic cruise! But you'll have a good time no matter when you go!

We are on the 2005 Magic Halloween Cruise, and we are doing MNSSHP on the thursday before so we should get a double dip of trick or treating!!
We have a great board going already so we welcome any and all who want to join in.
