Anyone successfully used Orangevacations?

I know some of you have posted about making reservations thru them. I am wondering if anyone has completed travel? Was it a success? Any problems/issues with orangevacations?

I ask because I am having a very difficult time getting ahold of ANYONE by phone OR email. I sent in a reservation "request" (the dates I want are "currently NOT able to confirm accommodation instantly over the Internet.") on Thurs Feb 3. I received confirmation that they received my request on Fri Feb 4. The email said I would hear from them "shortly" as to wether or not they could fulfill my request. It is now Tues Feb 8 and I have heard NOTHING more from them. I have sent 3 additional emails and have tried repeatedly to get them on the phone. I always get an answering machine.

Boy am I frustrated!

I didn't use them to book reservation, but I researched the price and them called Lowes 1-800 number and told them about the rate on their website. She put us on hold and said she would check. She logged onto website and confirmed their rate and then matched it for us.

Problem is that you can't "pull up" my dates/rates on orangevacations. My dates are NOT available for immediate confirmation, so a CM at Universal or reservationist at loews wouldn't be able to see it on their computer.

Dfest - I called them this afternoon and they picked up on the first rang. I have booked with them - havent used them yet but all my questions and emails have been answered promptly.

Thanks for relpying. I finally heard from them via email. It took them 5 days to tell me that they had no availablity. This was after 3 emails and many phone calls (I left 2 messages on the answering machine). I hope you have a great trip and no problems with them. Unfortunately, this experience has made me leary of ever using them...

I have been very apprehensive also. BUt when I called RPR they had my reservation. I am keeping my fingers crossed as we will be there the week before Easter. Orange vacations will charge me the balance in full 30 days prior to my reservation so I will be calling RPR a few days later to make sure they show it as being completely paid.

I am sure everything will be fine. My guess is, that since they would be making no $$ off of me, I was not high priority to get back to. If they had a room for me, they probably would have been more anxious to get back to me and "seal the deal" so they would get paid...
