Anyone still looking for a Wii??

I am still looking for a Wii too!!!

Every sat. I check with people on the DISboards to see who has seen the sunday adds and if any of the stores are going to have Wii's.

Other tips I have been given, are check Best Buy right when they open on sundays. Check Target on wed. & thursday. And check Game Stop on tues. as that's when they get there big shipments.

I have done all of these things, but still have had no luck!

I hope that I will be able to find a Wii soon, as I just bought Guitar Hero 3 for it last night( I got the last one too). And I have one other game that I got a good deal on, for $37.00

the last time i was in our walmart-we had a huge stack of them-the guy said no one was buying them like before christmas-i purchased one for a friend--if i need to purchase one for you and mail it-i wouldn't mind-i sell on ebay with 100 percent feedback so i can be trusted-i know it sounds crazy me trying to convince you that i am honest-but if you get desperate email and we could work something out-my kids got one for christmas and love it-i would be will to help at no charge if i need to-let me know if i need to check and see if our store still has them-

DD is saving her $ to buy one. She's selling Girl Scout cookies and the top prize is a Wii, but she has to sell 2000 boxes!:scared1: I told her just keep saving your money. We searched everywhere before Christmas and still are checking now. The wii alerts I signed up to get must sell out immediately because they are always gone by the time I get the emails.

Just one piece of advice for you on the Wii. it is keep looking everyday. That is what we did and when you find a place that has it well just go wait in line(EARLY) and that should get you one sooner than later. also i was told try and pre-order one from game stop. that will guarantee yo one but this takes time.

The Wii is in tomorrow's Circuit City advertisement. I would get there early to get one (ours opens at 10 a.m. on Sunday).

Have you signed up for Wii Alerts? That is how I got mine.

My husband and I got up at 3:30am on Black Friday. Drove to Wal-mart and waited for the "tape to drop" along with over 100 other people...My very long legged husband was able to get to the electronics department pretty quickly without having to push or shove!!! He was number 17 in line for the 20 Wii's available! This wasn't even for a SALE. It was just to buy one at regular price!! He did suffer a shopping cart injury from a very feisty older woman!:lmao:

It was worth it though, the kids absolutely LOVE it. It was a wonderful Christmas surprise! (They are 8 and 5.)

The moral of my little story is this: Don't be afraid to stalk stores and be the first one in the door when they open!!! It's a fun system!! Ask sales people when the next shipment is going to be and then BE THERE when the store opens. You'll most likely get a system. You just have be prepared to be a nut and get up early!!!:dance3:

Oh, and Wii Sports came with the system and we got the Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Party 8, Dogz2 and High School Musical WITH the microphone! all the games are rated E...our 5 year old loves to watch the Mario games at the moment, but he does play Dogz and he sings High School Musical with his sister. My 8 year old loves all the games and handles them fine. Just in case anyone was wondering...

:goodvibes

Game Stop told me to try everyday between 11:00 and 12:00. I called Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They said they had them Wednesday!!:sad2: I'll keep trying, the kids got money from their Uncle to buy one.

If you have ready access to a computer, then definitely w/o a doubt sign up for Wiialerts. This is how I bought ours. You literally have 2-3 minutes to order from the time you get the alert on your phone.

I ordered my Wii about a week from the time I first signed up. Anytime a site gets them instock, you will get a text on your phone. You'll get an email too, but sometimes there is a bit of a delay due to firewalls, server, etc.

This was WAY easier than stalking the stores, calling every day, etc.

Don't buy one on eBay, you will pay way more than retail.
