Anyone Staying at POP CENTURY Aug 21-27?

oH WOW~!!!
We are also going to be at POP -we will be there from 8/22 to 8/29. We are arriving on a late flight so we won't really be counting the 22nd.
Our ADR are: (so far)
8/23- LeCellair 6:50
8/24- CRT 5:25
8/25- Tempanyaki 6:45
8/26- Ohana's 6:50
I haven't deceided on the other 3 ts dinners.
Oh yea I requested the 70's building. We are me DH, DD 13 and DS11.

I have to run to Home Depo for my mickey heads- if you see me say HI!!!
3 weeks from today!!!!

We will probably walk right by you at Le Cellier... we will be there at 5:30

Man o man, 3 weeks from this very moment my friends and I will be at Pleasure Island bustin' a move at the clubs, prepping for our cruise on the 25th.

OK count us in. Driving from CT POP 08/21-08/28. Me DH, DS12 and DS9. Aour dining is August 21 – 50’s Prime Time Café – 5:50pm -
August 22 – Liberty Tree Tavern – 6:20pm -
August 24 – Tony’s Town Square – 6:10pm -
August 26 – Hollywood and Vine – 5:30pm -
August 27 – Donald’s Breakfastosaurus – 10:20am -

Couldn't get into Le Cellar yet so we will be trying while there. Now I have to get to Home Depot for the mickey head.

AngelKisses- Looks like we are arriving on the same day. What time will you be getting in? We are landing at MCO at 9:39AM so we are hoping we will be at POP by 11:00. 19 Days, can't wait.

I just made a run to the local Home Depot.

They are OUT of the lime green Mickey heads! EVERY shade of green is missing! Aaaagh!

It might have something to do with the heads being on eye level to a 3 year-old. All the Mickey Head displays at eye level and above was full and just fine. All the colors below hand level was gone. (Green, blue, purple, you get the picture.)

I hope HD refills soon.

Sorry to hear that! Maybe you can make your own out of lime green construction paper or just make then with lime colored markers...at least you know what they look like....we'll be sure to say "hi" even if yours are not the Home Depot version !!!!
Just make sure you laminate then ,so they're sturdy enough !!!

Second visit this year --- we feel like spoiled brats!! But the free dining was too good to pass up!!!Got a great deal so had to go!! Second time at Pop also -- it's a great resort. We were just looking at the pictures on allearsnet and couldn't believe the things we didn't see at this resort alone!! Too much to do - not enough time to do it!!!

We are still debating flying vs. driving. We live about 10 hours away and the airfares from our area is pretty expensive. I keep watching every day for a special. If we drive we will probably come on down a day early and possibly stay off site so that we are rested and ready to hit the parks early on the 21st. However, if my 19 year old son and 12 year old daughter continue to argue as they have this week I'll do whatever I can and pay whatever price I need to fly ... I don't think there's enough valium for me to handle the two of them closed up in a car for 10 hours! As soon as I know somethng more definate I'll be sure to post.

I'll see you all there! My Fiance and I will be at Pop from 8-21 to 8-26. Requested a lake view resort so hopefully it will be somewhere quiet with a nice view. Cant Wait!!!

If Home Depot is out of Lime Green Mickeys maybe another harware store, like Lowes will have them. Any store selling Disney Paint might be an option.

What area of NC are you traveling from? Southwest out of RDU has $39 one way for your dates. Total for 4 adults is less than $400. You might need to book a hotel for the night before since the flight is so early but you could pick one with park & fly. You wouldn't need to pay for airport parking.

I looked at those rates and they are great. Problem is we live about 3 hours from Raleigh. I had not thought about the park & fly hotels ...still kinda tempting but I don't think dh would go for it. Our closest airport is Charlotte although Hickory and Greenville SC are not too bad of a drive so I'm continuously checking all three. Still keeping my fingers crossed!

That's too bad. I used to drive but since Southwest offers such good rates out of RDU I figure my time is worth much more than the flight cost. I live about an hour from RDU and it's going to be tough to get up for that early flight but what the heck; I'll arrive at MCO before 9AM. Since I looked up your flight dates and they have availability I've decided to try to add a day on the front end of my trip. I booked through Dreams Unlimited so I'm waiting to hear back from my agent. If I can do it without a penalty I'm going to arrive on the 21st. I think a 3 night/4 day trip is too short to provide me with the relaxing trip I'm wanting.

Good Luck CarolynNC, I hope you get to extend your stay. I did this last week with easy but it was thru WDW. I'm not sure if we will leave to come home on that Friday or Saturday but figured it would at least give us late check out and extra FREE meals! To add an extra day for the 4 of us inluding meals and extension on PH Pass it was only around $85.

Do you know of any reasonable priced hotels in the Raleigh areas that offer the stay - park free - fly deals? It doesn't have to be fancy at all just offer the free parking. Perhaps if I can talk my dh into this auction we will be on the same flight.
