I tried the search function...but it doesn't seem to want to work for me...

One of my co-workers is in the planning stages of a WDW trip and was considering staying at the Vista Cay Resort in Orlando.

Has anyone stayed there????

Look in the Hotel reviews section there is a review of Vista Cay Resort there.

Thanks...off to find the review....hopefully the search function will work me...

I stayed at Vista Cay in December. I was there for a convention and it was right beside the convention center. It is very close to Sea World and Universal. But it took us about 15 minutes to get to MK. Any questions just ask.

What is it like and how do you compare it to places like Vistana Village and Marriort Cypress Harbor. I have stayed at the other end of I drive. The quiet part. Anything you can tell me will be of use. How many bedrooms in the condo in which you stayed?

We rented from a private owner last june. Our condo unit was beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen was beautiful with a breakfast bar and a full dining room. The pool area was very nice and also fairly quiet. There was a nice game room and basketball courts for my boys. There was a nice gym area as well. It was a little off the beaten path, there was not even a convenience store nearby. We got it for a good price and we needed three bedrooms. We have stayed a Vistana and Vistana Villages as well. The Vista Cay unit we rented was much, much larger. The resort itself was not as nicely landscaped as Vistana Villages, as it is still under construction. You will need to drive everywhere but getting on to I-4 was easy. Accessing International Drive was easy as well but it was near a very busy, traffic laden intersection(right by Wet and Wild). People live in Vista Cay year round so it is not the same atmosphere as VV. I would definitely stay there agin. It was new, clean and spacious. But if you need to run out for a cup of coffee or a quart of ice cream, you will be gone a while. It was not much longer to get to the parks than VV, maybe 5 more minutes. It is closer to Universal though.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath in Vista Cay in December. I think we paid around $100 per night. The unit itself was beautiful. The resort is super close to sea world and I would guess less then 2 miles from Universal. The resort is right on Universal Blvd. and there is a little back street that takes you very easily over to International Drive. There are all kinds of restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The resort itself has a really nice pool, fitness center and community room. There is a computer room with about 4 computers and printers which made it nice to check in at the 24 hour mark for our return boarding passes. The club house is staffed 24 hours a day and they will book reservations for you, get tickets and several other services. Would I stay at Vista Cay again if I was staying at that end of Universal Blvd or International Drive? Yes, I would!

We stayed there in December and the three bedroom was beautiful. It is perfect for Universal or Seaworld, but we didn't like it for WDW because of the traffic.
