Anyone stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites in DTD?

We are contemplating staying there over Christmas week - got a great rate, and soooo much cheaper than one of the resorts - myself, DH, DD -17 and boyfriend, and DD 13 are going - we have stayed at the Wyndam, Disney Institutes, Port Orleans, Dixie Landings, GF, -- your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed there in June. Our room had a bad musty smell. The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. The beds were okay, but the sleeper was not. Having slept on DVC sleeper sofas (and they were good!), this one was terrible. Carpet and upholstered furniture was stained. The breakfast buffet was good. The cookies were no big deal. Staff were pretty nice, though.

Thanks - from everything I have read, looks like we will look elsewhere, which is a shame - like the location across from DTD!
