Pretend you're on the TV show Survivor.
If all you're doing is sleeping on a bed for the night, and then leaving in the morning, it will be worth the money you save, which can buy alot of happy hour drinks.
Unless the place has been recently renovated, I'd expect worn out carpets, "hotel smell", and a loud AC unit. But that happens at all the cheap places. You tuff it out to save the money. At least it's only for 1 night, and then you're out of there.
The newest "cheap" hotel is the Motel 6 at the north end of I-Drive and I-4. Rooms go for $37 a night. It has a central AC unit that is in the corner of the wall, so the room is quiet, similar to the rooms at the All Star Resorts at Disney. But it's already wearing in, I saw signs of neglect on my visit last year.
The newest hotel period is the Hilton Garden Inn at the north end of I-Drive scheduled to open January 26th. Rooms go for about $109 a night, not much of a savings, but who knows, If I can't get onsite cheap, then that's where I'm staying since it's brand new.
