I am looking for any info on the paradise pier hotel suites ie cost, how many rooms, beds, # of people it sleeps etc. My parents want to book connecting rooms at the PP w/their senior discount in Jan, but I am wondering if it would be cheaper & more space since we will be 4 adults & 5 kids. Any advice/help or pics of their suites would be most appreciated!

I don't think they have 2 or 3 BR suites. I priced a vacation for 4 adults, 3 kids and the only 2 BR available were DH and GCH. I also checked Hotel booking only and they didn't have 2 BR.
Also, I priced 2 rooms at PPH and the price was the same as a 2 BR suite at DLH.

Be aware that none of the onsite hotels, PP included, will guarantee adjoining/connecting rooms. They will note it as a request, but that is all.

That said, the suites (at least at the DLH and GCH are pretty expensive. You can always call directly and get a quote.

They have two and three bedroom suites. We stayed in both last year (two bedroom in May, three in December). Prices went up so much this year, you can't really base them off what we paid then (it is very pricey). Call Disney reservations for prices, you can't book the suites on-line.

Thanks larina! Do you have any pics you could share? Also, is the 2 bedroom a 2 bedroom plus living/dining space? I am just wondering about # of beds for our group, :)

I'm sorry, I didn't take any good pics of the suites, only the views, lol. But I can tell you about the set ups.
In the the two bedroom there was one room with two queen beds and a big chair that actually folded out to a single bed, but we didn't even ever open it. It also had a microwave, fridge, and desk in the room that made a fine table and had a roll out under it that we used for 5 people almost daily.
The second room had a couch that pulled into a queen. This pull out is horribly uncomfortable on its own, but they will happily bring you a real mattress to put on it, which we asked for both stays. It also has a bigger table and a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker.
The third room added king bed with a couch that pulled out to a double. Additionally it had a decent sized table, and the same fridge, microwave and coffee maker as the other two rooms.
All 3 rooms had bathrooms, as did both when we had the 2 room, but I understand there are some two room suites with only 1 bathroom, although I can't for the life of me figure out why.

I got a quote a few months ago for PPH for 4 nights 2 room suite for Oct it would have been $2700 after my AP discount.

That is good info to know! Anyone ever been upgraded to a suite? Do you just ask or is it chance based on the CM? Any tips would be helpful! TIA :)

We were upgraded (from a regular view room) to a two bedroom suite at Paradise Pier. It was very nice! Each bedroom had 2 queen beds, and then the livingroom area had a pull out couch. We had a great view of California Adventure, too.

We have stayed at DLR hotels many times (about twice a year for ten years running) and this was the first time we were ever upgraded--so that is saying something! I have heard it is more common for this to happen at Paradise Pier--and I think that is correct.

That is a 3 room suite at PPH. That middle room with the pull out counts as a room to them.

How lucky Lisa! Did you ask for the upgrade?
Was it during a busy time of year? We are going right after MLK day from Jan. 21st-26th. :)

Are you sure that's not a 2 bedroom suite? I know at the DLH our 3 bedroom suite had 3 bedrooms (two had two queens, one had a king) in addition to a family room. So 4 rooms total. The suite had one bedroom attached to it and the on the other side had a room that connected to it and then a connecting bedroom to the second bedroom (making it easy to shut off into smaller suites). So the people in the 3rd bedroom had to cut through the 2nd bedroom (or go out into the hall and around) to get to the family room area.

Never mind, you said rooms, not bedrooms. But to clarify, there are 2 & 3 BEDroom suites (making for 3 & 4 total rooms, respectively).

FYI, senior discounts can not be used on suites.
We used the senior discount for both of our stays in 2012. Saved us 30%

They classify the one we stayed in in May as a 2 Bedroom Suite and the one in December as a 3 Bedroom Suite. At least that is what our paperwork said. PPH does not have suites available with two bedrooms with 2 beds in each room. At least they didn't in May or December of 2011. They only had the suites as I described.

Good to know that the senior discount can be used. :) Thanks for all the helpful info everyone!

Ok, I was talking about the DLH, so my mistake. I just thought that they would all be classified the same through out the 3 hotels. I guess not. I don't believe the DLH has a two bedroom suite with both bedrooms having 2 beds. The set up of our 3 bedroom suite was bedroom 1 (2 queens) -->family room --> bedroom 2 (king) --> bedroom 3 (2 queens).

That sounds like a "suite" set up for sure!
Larina- can I ask about how much you paid/ night for those suites this year in May & December?
Just trying to figure out if it's even close to our budget w/the discount! TIA (:

As of last December PPH did not have a suite that had two rooms with two beds each. I was told it could not be done there, the had no such arrangement. I'd call Disney reservations directly, they will be able to much better help you.
