Hi,
I need information on any of the following staterooms, no reports on them.

5128, 5130, 5626, 5628, 5630

Does anyone know if they are connecting?
OR if they sleep 4?

thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, ALL the category six rooms sleep four. If you click on the "Deck Plans" link at the top of this page you'll get all the decks... just click on deck 5 for a closer look that shows where the cabins are located and which of them are connecting.

Just found out tonight that all Cat. 6 stateroom do NOT sleep 4.
# 5622 only sleeps 3.
I looked at the deck plans, saw where the rooms are.
thanks!

moet7, lots of people like these rooms you've listed....especially if you have children as they are so convenient to the kids clubs.

Does that mean that 5622 is smaller, or just configured differently? That's our cabin for the Sept. 3 Eastern...

I was told my my TA that all of the cat 6 cabins on deck 5 sleep 3. I was really surprised and a little disappointed because I wanted to be close to the kids club. With that said we ended up with cabin 6556 and loved it!

The only difference between a room that sleeps 4 and a room that sleeps 3 is the 2nd bed that lowers from the ceiling. The size and layout of the rooms are the same.

As for Deck 5 cabins, we stayed in 5630 during the May Repo. I picked that particular room because it was a far back as you could go before you hit the Cat 7 navigator's verandah. That ment you were a good distance from the aft stair case and hall way traffic was about nil. The Aft cabins on Deck 5 place you near all the resturants and of course places you on the same deck as the kid clubs (but they are way down the hall, so it's still a quiet place). We liked the fact that we were very close to Flounders... that way it was a quick walk back to the cabin when we realized we left something behind.

Other comments on Deck 5 verandah cabins: You're closer to the water (during the repo going through the canal, we were practically at ground level when we were in the bottom of a lock). The verandahs are a little smaller (same width, but about 1-2' less deep compared to Decks 6 & 7 - you can even see this on ships maps - but it's not enough of a difference to outway the benefits of location). The only serious negative was that DW felt like 5630 had a lot more engine noise and vibrations compared to previous times we've stayed on Decks 6 & 7 mid-ship. I can't immagine one part of the ship vibrating more than the other, so I'm not sure if this was really an issue of location, or what it that the ship was more frequently running flat out during the repo compared the other cruises.

Did 5630 just sleep 3?
Yes. I don't recall seeing the bed that pulls down from the ceiling to sleep the forth.

An interesting note that I learned during a ships tour... The ceilings on Deck 5 are the lowest ceilings of all the decks on the ship. This was intentionally done because deck 5 is where the kids clubs are located, and they wanted the deck to feel more "kids" size. I'm not sure, but that might mean that there is overall less vertical space on Deck 5 and therefore all cabins on Deck 5 might only sleep 3.

Slightly OT, but I do recall the rule that all Cat 7 cabins only sleep 3.

We always stay in the back area of deck 6 when we cruise Disney, my husband and I in a verandah stateroom and the kids in an inside. I love this area of the ship and will always choose it. The rooms do only sleep 3 however, even any of the insides that my kids have been in. We find this a quiet area to be in.
The verandahs are small though and I didn't even realize how small they were until we cruised on Princess.
