Will be staying there in April. Anyone having stayed can you give us info on the hotel and how you got to and from the Parks? Have always stayed at WDW resorts and find there transportation really easy to use and get around. Not sure how it works when staying at this resort that is not a WDW resort.

We stayed at Bonnet Creek last year. It is a gorgeous resort, as are all Wyndham properties. It is right next door to the Carribean Beach resort and is very close to the parks.
We rented a car for our stay. The resort has a shuttle, but it didn't run too often. Parking is $11 a day, but it was nice to come and go as we pleased. The shuttles pick you up as soon as you get out of your car and drive you in. There was rarely any distance to walk.
Disney has such good signage on the roads, that we found our way around easily. Bonnet Creek is very close to DD and we also found our way to grocery stores and the Disney Outlet store without any trouble. That saved us a bunch on souveniers.
We're going again in March, so I'll update you, if there's anything else you want to know about BC.

I totally agree with junebug47. We stayed for 5 nights in Dec 2007. Once you rent a car and taste the freedom over Disney buses, you'll never take the bus again. Same with the resort...once you get a taste of this, you'll never stay with Disney again.

It's beautiful, and couldn't be more convenient. It's like you're on Disney property...can't get any closer.

I have been reading a lot about BC. What is the best method of booking a 2 BR at BC? Thanks!

I booked after finding an owner advertising on myresortnetwork.com. $120 a night for a 2 bed deluxe. Disney want $485 for a 1 bed for the same period!

We are also going to be staying at Bonnet Creek in April ! The second wk.
We are in 2bdrm. Any info on how many buildings are done. My husband thought we were in Building 4 ! Trying to find info on what is finished at this point. They seem to be moving right along with there construction! Any info...
Also, kitchen ?? Do we need to bring anything specific/ it say full Kitchen ! Do we just bring food?? How about detergents/dishwasher/wash/dryer
Traveling with children and grandparents!:laundy:
Thanks for your help

We just returned on Saturday afternoon from BC. We had a great stay. Tower 4 has just been completed, but the landscaping, sidewalks, etc. are not fully finished. We were in Tower 2. There is a minature golf course (free) right out back, a playground between 1 and 2, and a pool between 2 &3. Tower 4 is near the main building, so you would use the pool there. Tower 2was a good location for us, though we had no kids with us. Each building has units that face the lake and the other side faces the parking lot. You can request which you want. I didn't realize this and we were on the parking lot side, but the balcony was nice. The weather was in the high 70's the whole week. A light jacket might be needed late at night, as it gets down to about mid 50's. Of course, you are used to colder weather than that.
The rooms are pretty well stocked. They leave dishwasher detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, and shampoo, soap, and lotion. At the mid-week tidy, we got additional shampoo. I cooked several nights. The cookware is adequate, but not overly abundant. There is a big eat-at bar and a dining table. I think the units are beautiful and very roomy.
Other info: Resort has a pizza place and a small cafe where you can get burgers and fries. We didn't use either, but it would be convenient. Also, there are shuttles to the resorts. They are free, and run on a schedule. You do have to walk a bit further than the Disney buses, nearer where the charters park, but it saves you $11 a day if you don't want to drive. We did some of both. If you use the shuttle, just plan your day. They go every 30 minutes and come back at 12, 3, 5, etc. You will get a schedule at check-in.
If you have other questions, just write and I will try to answer them. I have found over the years that getting advice from other travelers is the best way to learn. BYW, ask the conceige for directions if you want to go to the grocery store, etc. they have them all printed out.

Jane Thank you very much for the info. I'll have to ask when I call to double check our reservations to see if they can tell me what building we are in !!!
Is it better to get the lake side or the parking lot side?? I was told you can see the Epcot Fireworks from the balcony? Did you see any?? How many stories - Floors are there in each building.??
50 degrees sounds good it was 19 this morning only in the low 40's today and very windy !! My dad lives in Fl said it's getting warmer in the low 80's on the west coast over the weekend, as we had snow flurries on Sunday !!
Can't wait to not wear a wintercoat :cool1:

We are having grandparents over for the first weekend but after that just my family (4) so we will be busy doing Disney and Epcot. Heard they also have planned activities for the kids? Sounds like we can go to the pool while they have fun with other kids??

Sounds really nice to me ! Just excited to go on vacation!

Thanks for all your excellent info and your right it is so much easier when you get info from other travelers. Glad you had a great time !
Will check in to see what else everyone has to say about BC !!

Tower 2 had 9 floors. We were on the top floor. I think all the towers are the same. You can see the Epcot ball from the lake side of the bldg. If you are not on the right side, you can look out the window in the hallway, or possibly from the main bldg. and see some of the fireworks. I'm not sure about Tower 4...I think it's opposite, since the bldg. is on the other side of the property.
Yes, there are many activities for kids....crafts, pool games, outdoor movies (they call them "dive in" movies). They also have a volleyball net and played sand volleyball one day. They have sundaes most days ($3), so I think they will be busy. After the parks, though, they might want to just rest!
Have fun!

Going in September and by then I'm sure the landscaping at Tower 4 will be done...so I'm wondering if I should request 4 because it's newer?
I love to have breakfast on my balcony, so I don't think I'd like to be looking at the new construction ...any suggestions

We stayed in Tower 2. The construction at that time was on the golf course, which is across the street from the parking lots of tower 2 & 3. Tower 4 & tower 5 are on the opposite side of the lake. I am not sure if 5 is under construction or not.

My suggestion would be to ask for a room in 2 or 3 that overlooks the lake and you would have a nice view plus you might be able to see the Epcot fireworks. The rooms on the other side of the building have balconies that are on the parking lot side. I have not stayed in 4, so I am uncertain what kind of view is in that tower.

September will be wonderful weather and you will have a great time!

Thanks Junebug...what a nice thing to say! Sept is a leetle early for me as I usually like the first week of October weather plus food and wine. I usually take sunshine with me whereever I go, so not too worried bout hurricanes, tho I've noticed if I brag re weather that it bites me in the bum!!!!:goodvibes

I'm renting from a VIPer, so I hope that allows me a request. Thinking I'll take your advice and request lakeside, even # rooms, Tower 2, high floor. :rotfl:
I am SO particular about views and my DVC that the CMs have my 'number' when I check in! It's just that I love having breakfast and wine (not at the same time mind you) on my balcony...so view is important!!!

Looking forward to my 'treasonous trip' off site Disney. Shhhhhhh...don't tell the Mouse

We got back yesterday -- we were in Tower 5 (they told us at the check-in desk that it has been completed for about six weeks), facing the parking lot (and subject to the construction sounds which included early-morning concrete pours). I would suggest a room in either the main building or Tower 2 or 3. From the opposite side of our tower, you couldn't see the Epcot ball because the other towers were in the way.

we are thinking about staying here for 2 nights in January after we stay at AKV.
