Anyone stay at Westgate Town Center recently?

we are staying here in a few weeks and just wondering if anyone has been there recently that can let me know their experience. We have friends that own a timeshare and offered it to us for the week really cheap since they can't use it before the end of the year. 2 bedroom deluxe condo. I've heard some units are remodeled and some are not. just wondering the likely hood of us getting a remodeled one or if we get one that isn't can we request one that is? also being that our friends are timeshare owners do we also get the free perks? have heard check in stories of it taking hours and hours I really hope that isn't the case for us as I have a very impatient husband so afraid it will not be a good experience right from the start :-( but for only $300 for the week I can't complain as i'm laid back and will deal with whatever comes. Have heard we can do an online check in if we get an email so hoping we get that and hoping check in is painless.

I can't answer most of your questions, but I can tell you that we stayed there in Sept 2013 and our check-in went quickly. We had purchased a package thru Universal Orlando and as soon as they started in on asking us about doing a timeshare presentation I told them I had been assured by UO that I would not be subjected to that and they dropped that line immediately and we were on our way. Great location for UO visitors. No complaints.

Last year I did stay at The Westgate Lakes & Resort and it was really good.
Just stay away from their timeshare pitch...the Westgate salemen are the WORST in the business.
