Well, we planned a very last minute birthday trip for DD this May and we are on a tight budget so DH told me to find a very inexpensive hotel near disney for 3 nights.

I did some research and found that (for less than $50 per night), we can stay at the knights inn. We will be gone all day at the parks and need the room just for sleep. Anyone stay there? Is it ok?

I suggest using priceline for your stay, as you should be able to get a much nicer hotel for the price of the knight's inn, which is a step below motel 6.

I agree with the above poster. The reviews of this hotel are bad. Learn how to use priceline or hotwire with betterbidding.com and bidlesstravel.com and you can save money but get a much better hotel.

Please avoid this hotel. We were going to stay there one night during a WDW visit. We checked in, went straight back to the hotel clerk and got a refund. Our room looked as though they had just removed the crime scene tape. :scared1: There were exposed wires from the ceiling (maybe where the smoke detector was supposed to be?) and there was what appeared to be blood in the bathroom (way too much to have just been an oversight from the cleaning staff, and I'm not exaggerating). It was scary to say the least. On the other hand, the staff didn't give us a bit of trouble in refunding our money.

I clicked on this topic just becauase of reading Knights Inn. Our 1 and ONLY time to stay in one was in Tennessee on the way down to Disney and we still jokingly refer to it looking like a crime scene....I know it's a different place BUT sounds as if their standards hold true :scared1:. Toilet ran, could see out the door. We had NOWHERE else to go so we toughed it out but I got blankets from the car and we layed on top of those and NOONE took their shoes off. It was the absolute grossest place I've ever stayed. We expected to see a chalk outline :). I would definitely bypass this one!

Wow. How about the Ramada Gateway tower? Is that better? They have standard rooms as low as $31 per night.

You should check out betterbidding.com and try out bidding on Priceline. I have used it before and always had good results. I think you could get a lot more for your money.....

what are your dates... maybe i can help look for you....to give you some suggestions...

Stay AWAY from any "hotel" or "motel" on that west end of 192!!! :scared1: Seriously! It's not even a matter of clean (which they are NOT) those places are downright scary in terms of safety.

Far better to stay further out (near Altamonte Springs, ect.) in a Hampton Inn or something, than in one of those horrible, vile places.

Check the Comfort Inn on Lake Buena Vista. It's got a great reputation and is often very reasonably priced.

Knight's Inn is never a good idea! And Ramada has fallen into the pits along with it.

If you can find a Holiday Inn Express, those are surprisingly nice... but again, anything on the west end of 192 is NOT a good idea!

Why didn't I remember :sad2: PP is correct The place has been refurbished recently. I live in FL but last Sept. I had to get away from DH and all the "furry kids" here for awhile. I booked through www.travelzoo.com and got something like a $30. night rate for Sat/Sun nights. Not saying they have that rate not but I was pleased with the hotel. Good Luck :thumbsup2

You just went from bad to worse.

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

By the way how many of you...

It's actually 4 of us if you count my 11 month old.
