I am hoping the construction of Cars Land isn't causing a noise issue for guests...anyone know what time they start/finish working?

This will be our first time staying there and I had to talk my DH into it - we usually stay at DLH but needed to cut expenses.

Thanks for any help!

We were just there and didn't hear anything. We were staying about halfway back on the side away from DCA though. I wonder if the people in the back heard anything? I didn't hear anyone complaining.

Thanks for the reply!

What type of room were you in? We have a deluxe reserved so I think we will be more towards the back.....

We were just in the standard room. I knew it was smaller but there was only 2 of us so it was fine.

No one said anything on the busses about it. You might ask on Trip Advisor.

Stayed there in October in a standard room toward the street on the side away from DCA. Did not hear any construction noise or traffic noise. Loved our stay! Hope you have a great time.

Thanks so much!

I'm feeling fine about our decision - it doesn't sound like noise is an issue at all.

OP,same here I booked me and my DS june trip for CCI and passed on DLh and my stomach has been In knotts ever sense:sad2:. There has not been a day that has passed that I keep going back and fourth about changeing to DLH. I have gone many times since I was a kid and everytime we go back we say next time(we will stay at DLH),next time. But I look at It and just can not justfy satying there. We spend all of our wakeing hours at the park, maybe!!!!!! swim at the pool at night. But I love the Disney feel,we stay on site at WDW(POP resort:cool1:) and we submerge our selfs with the Disney feel and I am afarid I am going to lose that staying at CCI. Does CCI hold Onto that Disney Magic when you stay there?

I only have one experience at each park. First, WDW 7 years ago, on site at a moderate. I adored it and was hoping for a similar feel.

Although I enjoyed our trip to DL, we stayed offsite (though not at the candy can -- at HoJo) and it really did interfere with my ability to keep the magic. Because of DL's location, I'm not sure even staying on site will keep the magic the same way WDW did for us though. I think we're going to try to stay at PPH next trip to see if it does though.

Seadd67,

Where do you usually stay when visiting DL? We get APs every other year and then make the most of them, lol, but since we started the prices for hotels just keep going up and up (as an example - the first time we went, we stayed at the GCH and paid $169 & $189 a night - which was *really, really* expensive - and that was only 10 years ago).

We have stayed at the GCH and PPH once each, DLH many times, HOJOs once, and many times at Embassy Suites when we couldn't get a *great* AP rate at DLH.

Yes, staying on-site is magical - I LOVE the feeling of walking thru DTD to get to the parks, you don't have to drive anywhere, etc etc - you are immersed from the moment you get up till you go to bed. But twice the cost magical? Nope, sorry, for us, since we do visit several times a year, just can't justify that. We get to the parks when they open, stay till they close, maybe grab some dinner in DTD, then head back to the hotel to sleep. I think we've used the pool 3 times at the DLR hotels and twice at the Embassy Suites (out of probably 20+ trips).

But, going back to Embassy Suites each day hasn't diminished our trips in any way. In fact, we went to WDW for the first time in Sept, stayed at CBR, and with having to get on a bus to go to the parks and back to the hotel and all, it kind of was the same experience. Don't get me wrong, we loved staying at CBR, but we didn't feel immersed in "the Disney magic" from waking to sleeping like we do when staying on-site at DLR - probably because even on-site is not really on-site in WDW. KWIM?

If money was not a question, I would urge you to stay at the DLH once (though it WILL spoil you into never wanting to stay off-site again), BUT I truly think that you won't have a bad experience staying at CCI, just different!:flower3: Now, if there was a bunch of noise going on, that'd be a different story, ha ha, but that would be the case at any hotel.

I am there right now and there is no noise from Cars Land. The only noise is from people walking around late at night and from the fireworks. The Candy Cane is great as always. The Candy Cane gives disney good competition on what place is the best maintained.

Just returned from 3 nights at the CCI and we LOVED it!! This was our 1st trip to DL and I was so worried that I wouldn't feel like I was in Disney by not staying at a Disney hotel, but in the end I couldn't justify the price difference. The CCI is so clean and quaint. The beds & pillows are super comfy, the free breakfast is decent and the walk to the parks is very short. We would stay there again in a second. We were in a room facing the pool and the only noise we heard were screaming kids walking by the room at 6:45am!! Well that was only the 1st day - after that we made sure the have the air conditioner on to block that noise!
