Anyone stay at Renaissance Sea World resort

I have this on Sea World board also, but noone seems to have been there. Has anyone stayed here and is it convenienct to Sea World as well as Downtown Disney?

I stayed there 3 years ago and enjoyed it. The rooms were nicely furnished and refurb-ed probably 4 years ago, three very good restaurants, good pool. You have a choice of rooms with exterior view with no balcony or an interior view with balcony opening to the atrium. The lobby and restaurants were renovated in 2007.

It is right across the street from Sea World. While I don't have any personal experience using the bus service (either Lynx or the contracted service), there is a Lynx bus stop right in front of the hotel.

If you rent a car, the hotel is about a two-block drive off of International Drive. There can be a lot of traffic around those two blocks especially at closing time. My tip is to not use International Dr but to turn right onto Westwood Dr, which takes you under I-4 and is a good back road to Rt 535. It comes out just above the Crossroads, which is very close to Downtown Disney.

Hello...we stayed there last August for 5 days and it was great. It is walking distance from Sea World , ( you have to walk through the whole parking lot.) but it's impossible to be any closer. I can't help you regarding Downtown Disney since we did not go. I know they charge for parking, but for those days I used a taxi.
The rooms are wonderful, just make sure , if possible call and have them make a note in your reservation to make sure you have a room either facing the pool or Sea World ( we got a corner room where we had both)..and NOT TO HAVE AN INSIDE room. Those were rooms that have no outside views and only face towards the inside of the hotel ( sort of like an inside cabin on a cruise...but with a tiny balcony where everyone can see inside !if your curtains are not closed ! )

Other than that, I would go again and stay there, Our stay was wonderful !
