we are on the JUne 5th wonder and arrive 3 days early and have reservations at the HI Oceanfront, but I am really worried. I keep reading how run down and old it is. I dont want to be disappointed!! :confused3

Anybody stay here in the past few months, since they re-opened??

thanks a bunch!! :flower:

I am interested in finding this out also. I just got a great rate for the Holiday INN ($68) by reserving through easy click.

I haven't been inside, but go past there every day. They remodeled every room, so you might as well say that it's a new hotel.

a lady phoned this weekend because I had been on the Ron Jon's Cape Caribe site looking for a pre-cruise room a while back. She gave me some spill about so many days and nights there and so many in some other place (you just KNOW you'll be sitting thru a time-share presentation...NOT!)
Well, after she took a breath, I told her that the only thing I was looking for was one night pre-cruise (6/25). She said that wouldn't be a problem and it would cost something like $68. While I was on hold, I was doing the math....save hotel money and spend more onboard!! Well, she came back and said it wasn't possible there, BUT she could reserve me a room for $59 at "their" Holiday Inn. Oh well, not a problem...I've got a $109 Radisson room, but I would have moved to Ron Jon for the savings.

Another call from Ron Jon sales tonight. She did specifically mention that I could stay at RJ or at "the HI which had recently been remodeled."

what did she want you "pay" for the RJ?
and how many nights? she did say you would have to sit through a presentation?

hi,just returned from the holiday inn OF 4 weeks ago and was really happy with the hotel.theres a great family pool and also a great kids pool.there were plenty of places to eat and drink :teeth: ,drinks were not expensive(they had a happy hour or two in the evening in the sports bar,the bar with the pool table).the hotel was right beside the beach.due to the hurricanes the hotel was been re-fitted(no noise).rooms were adaquate and very clean for a overnight stay.the trip to port took around 10 mins($15).i read all the reports on tripadvisor and thought OMG,but i was really impressed by this hotel and would stay there again.cost me around $50 from hotwire.com.

I couldn't even tell you....not listening to the spiels. First call was about a weeklong trip. Second caller said they had multiple trips to choose from.
Sorry I can't help.
