I just started to do mine. It will take me time since I am now slow from my Transplant. I did not do any last year since I came home from the hospital in the Fall, nor did I do any major Spring Cleaning! So I am going to go ahead and get my Fall cleaning started. I have a huge home, only 2 years old, so I am looking forward to getting it all nice and clean... :sunny:

There is such a thing?

We have been working on our basement little by little, but my upstairs I just try to keep up with all the time. The basement is just a disaster.

Fall cleaning

are you kidding ?? :confused3 :confused3

I am still working on my spring cleaning from 2004 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

actually DH is building a new shed out back next month and we are having a garage sale so than

the real cleaning will begin

get rid of alot of stuff ( i hope)

I guess you could say I am.I am going from room to room cleaning them out.I have 6 boxes for my yard sale already. :wave2:

I did, I've been trying to keep extremely busy so I don't have too much time to think about DS leaving for college next week. I think I have the cleanest house on the street. I'm heading outside to putt around the yard today.

me!
I am working on my closets, way to many shoes thrown around!so I got some organizers to fix up my closets!

Are we ever? I wouldn't call it fall cleaning, more like spring and fall cleaning for the past 2 years! Our house is only 2 1/2 years old too and this is the first time we've majorly cleaned the whole thing. We've done a closet here, cabinets there, etc. But this week, me and DH have cleaned out every closet, under every bed, every cabinet, etc. I have 10 garbage bags of clothes, 1 of shoes, 1 of purses and tons of bags of other stuff that I cleaned out for DMIL to sell at her yard sale. I probably have 25 garbage bags total! I can't believe we had that much junk in our house! It's nice to have it clean though! We aren't totally finished, but it's lookign good. :cheer2:

cleaning - what's that?

no, only kidding.....I have slowly been trying to get rid of things and will work on it more aggressively here soon. I would like to have a yard sale in a month or so.

Kind of. We're packing things up to move to Florida in October.

We have a large home with three people, so the junk is out of here. Last week, I through out 2 garbage bags full of junk and donated books and clothes.

I got around to cleaning out the utility drawers in the kitchen. Through out stuff I never knew I had! Found lots of DH's tools in the drawers, so those went in the garage.

Now I'm not so scared to open a drawer, any more! :goodvibes

Fall cleaning....what is that??? I feel like I'm ALWAYS cleaning!

Which "fall" are you talking about? 2001? 2002? 2003? 2004? :teeth:

I may tackle my DD's house when I go home.. I actually enjoy fall/Christmas/spring cleaning.. Wish I could paint too! :flower:

We are cleaning and organizing like crazy around here. We have gone thru the storage area of the basement and got everything up off the floor and onto shelves, we made sure all the kids' clothes are in labeled bins, we have thrown out a bunch of things and have tons of bags ready to go to the Salvation Army and relatives. I also went through our pantry and organized it nicely. We have been here almost 6 years and keep the home clean, but haven't been able to go thru our basement items in a long time. So because I am 7.5 mos. pregnant and full of energy, I felt it was a great time to work on getting this house in order. It's so cathartic for me. So it's probably more of a nesting instinct going on rather than fall cleaning. I just so happen to be having a baby in the fall. :goodvibes

Not really fall cleaning, but an ongoing project to de-clutter. I have resolved to do one thing each day to reduce the clutter in my house. The downstairs looks great - because I've moved all the clutter upstairs!!! So I'm going to deal with one item out of the attic every day - either it gets cleaned and properly stored or I get rid of it -either by dropping it in the Goodwill bin (a truck is parked less than two blocks away), giving it away or throwing it out. I started this yesterday when my daughter went back to school - we'll see how long I can keep it up!!!

Yes, I am gearing up. I am going to be having company come and need some things finished.

I also am going to be buying some new fall decorations and spicing it up a bit!
