Anyone speeding today?

A basic speeding ticket is now $119....
What is the the going rate these days? I usually get a ticket every 5 years and it seems like the last one was much less. My tickets are always in town...I drive nice and fast on the expressway but today I was going through one of those long slow construction areas not even paying attention to my speed. Well this should slow me down for a day or two.

up here, fines are doubled in construction/work areas. did you try crying?? that usually gets my daughter out of tickets.

$265 for your 1st speeding ticket in WI. Careful driving on Highway 41, 43, 43-all these roads travel North.

I94 travels across WI from IL to WI to MN -don't know where the speed traps are.

Highway 41, 5 miles south of Fond du Lac, WI is a huge speeders trap, be warned.

ARRGHHHH!!! I wish I could cry. I'm so stubborn.....I just can't cry. My husband loves that quality....as it limits he to only have to endure one or two crying sessions a year (unless it's a baby year). I felt like crying when I saw the the $$$!

here its based on how many mph over the posted limit you are...and then of course, in posted work zones- it doubles.

The worst I've gotten was $380 and 5 points.........that sucked to say the least, but thankfully it's off my record now

Uggh...$95 for going 39 in a 30 (the po knocked it down from 43). I almost had to take a breathalizer test too thanks to the glass of beer my DH had in the passenger seat tucked behind his legs. The po asked me if I'd been drinking and you've never seen a finger point at someone else so fast!! I didn't even realize DH had the beer til the cop told me he could smell alcohol!!
