I know, I know...this is beyond silly, but if anyone could take a second to send a prayer or a "well wish" our way we would be super grateful! You see, DH and I have been doing a little home improvement project. Totally DIY. While we are (so far) on the right track and things looking fabu, we are NOT the "Handy Manny" folks at all. So anytime we do these things, there is a lot of baited breath!
Tonight we have to tackle a particularly tricky part of the renovation. And by WE, I mean my awesome DH. We tore out our old cultured marble circa 1978 counter top and put down granite tile...OURSELVES! I am shocked and thrilled to report that the counter top looks radiant! Black granite 12x12 tiles. Grout lines are straight, tiles even. Almost professional looking.
Tonight we have to drill the hole for the sink and faucet. THIS is the tricky part. DH has picked the brains of the HOme Depot, Lowes guy and the guy who we hired to tile the bathroom floor. He has the right tools...now it's just the execution.
He's petrified he is going to ruin the countertop, crack the tiles, mess up the hole etc. So, if you could...send a prayer that we can complete our little home improvement project without any snafus! It's one of the few things we've done for ourselves and the house since we moved in 7 years ago. We are real proud of what we've done so far and I can see the end! Thanks!
I will post pics when it's all done...God willing!
