It's called tongue splitting. Personally, even the picture gives me the creeps...

Can you imagine having an infection after getting this done? How can they eat?

Oh that's nothing. The show I was watching the other day showed people surgically having metal balls inserted underneath their skin. This one guy had a whole bunch of them all up and down his arms and then two on his forehead like "horns". He said the ones on his head were just starts to stretch the skin out and that he was having bigger ones inserted later on Why people do this, I have no idea.

Gee and I was hoping the body piercing was going away before DD became old enough to want it done. Now This.

I'd refuse to even look at that on an everyday basis.

There are people that talk out of both sides of their mouth, so to speak. If that type of person were to have their tongue split imagine what they could do then! Personally, I think it's revolting. And I agree olena - how would you ever be able to pay attention to what they were saying?

That reminded me of a cartoon I saw in a newspaper about five or six years ago. It had two old guys sitting in a nursing home circa 2060. They both had loads of tattoos up and down both arms, etc, and both had multiple piercings. One looks at the other and says "I see you were an idiot in the 90s too".

For the record, I have nothing against people geting multiple tattoos, piercings, etc, but I think the tounge splitting is pushing the envelope.
