I'm travelling with a male friend. And we need two beds. I know we can ask for two beds on the app. But is there a chance we could not get it. Is this considered a "request" and not a sure thing. Even if Disney accommodates 99% of the time is there a chance they may not be able too. Thinking of staying at Pop and All Star Movies. Ty.

It is the king beds that are rare. Most rooms will have two queen beds. What you can do is not do online check in ... check in at the desk when you arrive ... and verify your room has two beds.

NOTE: Likely around 60 stays at POP and Sports with 2 adults, even same last name and never been given a king room.

When checking into a (non-Disney) hotel with my brother, a couple times I had a blow up bed in the trunk or one in my online shopping cart at the local Walmart. Never needed it, but having a plan B meant all we had to do was fight over who got the Real Bed and request extra linens. Have a plan B, but I doubt you'll need it.

If you are reserving room only, I wonder if a workaround might be to add a non-existent child to the reservation? I have done this at a non-Disney hotel, but I have no idea if this would mess anything up in the disney experience app.

I got an ADA king room with 1 bed at Sports and it was so low I felt like I was getting up from the floor. I’ve been assigned ADA rooms at a couple of other hotels and this bed was WAY lower than those were.

our daughter, her partner and their 11 yr old twin girls had booked a package at movies and they were assigned to the ADA king room - no idea where they thought everyone would sleep because it was even one of the rooms that shows a 2 person maximum occupancy. Luckily i have a touring plans account and when my daughter let me know the room number i looked it up and discovered what type it was. They spent close to an hour over chat and then eventually a phone call to get the room straightened up. So yes, it can happen.

Adding the two children would give you extra leverage if you ended up in that situation - you could simply state that you have 4 people in a 2 person max occupancy room and they would have to move you at that point.

Once when we stayed at AKL so not sure if option here, my husband was pretty sick by the time we arrived to check in ( was better in a day we think he ate something bad on way down but didn’t know if stomach bug at first). My kids had the other bed, so I requested a cot be brought up. They brought it right up, then the next day when he was better, they came and got it. I think they charge like 25 bucks for this a night , however, but they didn’t charge us anything. It was comfortable. I’m just saying that if you check in and they say they have no 2 bed rooms, nicely could they bring a cot at no charge? (Smile sweetly)😀

I have gone to POP with my nephew and was assigned a king room - I just went to the front desk and asked if they could move us. They had no problem with it. Plus they were able to get me the double room in the same section that I had original selected (50's - my favorite)

I usually travel with just my sister (same last name) and same experience. We've always been given a room with two beds.

It wouldn't hurt to make the request. There are far more rooms with two beds than with one, so it shouldn't be a problem to get.

It could happen. We stayed at BC with our daughter and got a king bed. It had the pullout couch, but we wanted 2 queens since she doesn’t like sleeping alone on vacation for some reason.

we were all very glad that we caught the problem before they arrived at the hotel. They were supposed to land at 5 but got stuck circling the state due to thunderstorms. Ended up getting rerouted to Fort Myers for refueling and they eventually got to the resort at midnight. It is a very easy fix but one that everyone was glad had been dealt with before arrival. I was just giving a data point that shows the system isn't perfect.

I do recall a post several years ago of 2 siblings (brother/sister) who ended up with a King room. They were changed the next day but no room with 2 beds available for the first night.

I agree with others, though, that while not impossible it is highly improbable to occur.
