We have a Dinsey trip planned for early June. We currently have the Embassy Suites booked at a good rate, but we can get a full refund if we decide to cancel. I was reading all the great reviews on here of WBC so I decided to get a few quotes for the heck of it. The lowest quote I received was $980 for the week in a 2 bedroom, from a Megan Bailey at Goodbuy Vacations. (Found on vrbo.com) They are lower than both VS and VU for my dates. I'm trying to decide if I should cancel Embassy Suites and switch to WBC. It makes me nervous booking with an unknown company over the internet, though. Any experience with this company?

Megan helped me plan my first trip every to FL for my family as a surprise. She recommended Bonnet Creek as a great option as I was traveling with a large family. We loved the resort, and she made it a very easy process. We have used her for several other vacations since then and plan on going back to Bonnet Creek for Thanksgiving. I definitely would recommend using her to book your travel. Hope this helps!:wave2:

Thanks for your reply, it makes me feel better to know someone else who used them and had a positive experience. I'm still feeling wishy washy on whether or not I should make the switch.

I am wondering the same thing as her quote was great for our trip for next year and much less than anyone else....just wondering what her feedback is like? she seemed great on the phone and mentioned she had to call someone else back from on here.

I completely understand making the switch, but Megan truly made our trip great! If you have doubts def. call her as she always made the time to answer all my questions and made it an easy decision when booking. It was exactly how she offered it when we arrived and I recommend her to my friends all the time when they are looking to vacation.

Hello, yes, about a month ago i used Goodbuy Vacations to book a week at WBC. All is paid for, trip is next month...but I've called WBC 3 times now and no reservation is showing under my name or the "owners" name....i am very worried - It is 100% paid for at this point. I'm curious, SBD78, did you end up using Goodbuy for your trip and how was your experience?? Has anyone else had issues with reservations now showing up at WBC? I'm afraid I will get down there and be stuck with no room and no money. Goodbuy swears i have a reservation and that WBC is the probelm...? :worried:

We rented WBC through Megan at Goodbuy vacations for a last minute trip this past July. She had the best price and everything went very smooth. We absolutely loved the place(and we always stay on site). I spoke with her on the phone on numerous occasions and she was just wonderful. We decided when we got back to book again through Megan for the week after Thanksgiving and again her prices can't be beat. I have recommended her to everyone that I know considering a trip. You will have no issues with her!!

:cheer2: If you are quoted a lower amount than what vacation strategy quotes you they will do a price match if you feel safer booking with them. just let them know that you received a lower amount, forward them the emailed quote, and they will match the price. I did it for my vacation in June.

I've not used Goodbuy Vacations, but in the last six months have stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek twice. For my May trip I booked through Vacation Strategies and for the Sept trip I booked through Shelby Resorts. Both times the reservation did not show up in Bonnet Creek's system until right at a week out. For the May trip I called VS and they told me it wasn't supposed to show up in the BC system until 7-10 days out. I called BC again at 9 days out and they had a 7 night reservation for me, which really caused me to panic since it was supposed to be for 10 nights.:rotfl: I called BC again and they told me most reservations are for 7 nights, so anything over 7 nights will have two different confirmations and the second won't show up until several days later. Sure enough they were right. I called BC three days later and they found a 7 night and a 3 night reservation under my name. For my Sept trip I wasn't worried as much and just waited until about four days out before I called. Sure enough at that time they again had two reservations under my name. The CM at BC said to not even bother calling until about a week out as they won't be uploaded into their system until then. In my case, both reservations were fine. Just FYI: even with two reservations they keep you in the same room and you do not even need to check back in.

For my upcoming Dec trip I requested quotes from multiple renters (incuding VS). I got a much cheaper quote from Aaron Washburn, who lists over on myresortnetwork.com. Even though I had booked through Vacation Strategy last May and when I called for a Dec quote he said they offered a repeat customer discount, he said that even though they normally price match, that in this instance they couldn't match his price ($600.00 vs $895.00 for ten nights).

am also interested to know about goodbuy vacations... I sent a request last night for our June trip and it is almost $300 cheaper than what VS quoted me... However, it said that wbc will require a $200 security deposit (refundable) upon checking in? I have not read about anyone saying they had to put that down? Those of you who rented with Megan, were you required to put the CC security deposit down at check in?

Lastly, does anyone know if you can change your dates for a fee if you have to change? I believe VS lets you push your dates out for a fee if something came up and needed to be changed?

TIA! :)

Odd, I stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek both this past May and again in Sept. The May trip was booked through Vacation Strategy and the Sept trip was booked through Shelby Resorts. We are also going back Dec 6th-16th and booked through Aaron Washburn. I know that in May and Sept I was not charged a $200.00 security deposit. I did not even leave a cc on file when I checked in. They did ask if I wanted to leave a cc on file for any incidental resort charges and I told them no. They didn't say a word about a security deposit being required and didn't say a word about me not leaving a cc on file. For our Dec trip Aaron Washburn has not said anything about a security deposit being required either.:confused3

The official Wyndham policy is that non-owners must have a security deposit.

Mistakes happen at check in, which is probably why it is not taken for all non-owners.

The owner of the points can be held responsible for damages if no cc was left on file.
