Anyone Rent from VRBO - Vacation Startegy, LLC for Bonnet Creek???

I have never rented from a private party before and am just curious if anyone has rented from them in the past?? Any issues???

We have used Vacation Strategy on 3 different vacations with zero issues. If you search these boards you will find many many threads about Bonnet Creek and tons of people use Vacation Strategy. They are a very reputable company. They do rent on VRBO or you can just go direct to their website. They have a low price guarantee - if you find a lower price they will match it. I also love their cancellation policy - you never lose your $ even if you have do postpone or change your dates. You can apply your deposit to another vacation. They also have great customer service.

We used Vacation Strategy last year w/o any issues. We would have rented with them again this year but had no availability, so went with VacationUpgrades.com instead. Ken and Denise are extremely responsive and have amazing customer service. Not a knock against VS, would use them again in the future as well.

Also a satisfied Vacation Startegy customer. My husband got a kidney stone right before our trip and we had to cancel. They held our money and applied it to a trip at a later date. Didn't lose a dime! Using them again for a trip this month.

We used VS for our Oct 2012 trip with no issues. We have booked with them again for our June 2014 2 week trip.

I got a lower rate with Ken/Denise and Vacation Strategy wouldn't touch the price. I saved over $350 with them. Vacation Strategy was giving me a song and dance on why Ken's rate was lower.

Thats really odd. First time Ive ever heard someone say they didnt honor the price match guarantee they promise. In fact they matched the quote I got from Ken/Denise and it saved me $300. My brother and his family also saved about $300 thru the price match guarantee. All we had to do was forward the email quote and they honored it. Love Vacation Strategy and there are dozens of threads here on the Disboards that sing nothing but praises for them. They will continue to get our business.

Yup, and I would have preferred Vacation Strategy cause then I could have used my credit card (and got reward pts plus and have some insurance). At the time, I didn't know VS had the low price guarantee. After I read your post, I looked it up and it's not really cut and dry.

You can use your credit card for Vacation Upgrades by paying through your paypal account.

Don't book Wyndham Bonnet Creek through VRBO!!!! I booked and paid for a week through VRBO within the past 5 days. My vacation was to have been May 11th to 16th. I did everything through their online forms. I received a reply from an owner, submitted the full amount (as it was within the 30 day window) using my visa. Today I received a warning email from VRBO stating that I should not trust the owner I have been dealing with - too late! I contacted VRBO to ask details, turns out they have not been able to contact the owner, so they believe that there is fraud going on, their advice to me was to attempt to contact the property owner myself or dispute the transaction with my visa provider. (even though the visa transaction has their home away company listed as the recipient, it turns out they are only a third party and cannot help in anyway to get my money refunded) I have attempted to contact the owner, not received a reply. Also contacted Wyndham, no reservation under my name. My visa provider cannot launch an investigation until I show up to Bonnet Creek and determine in person that the condo I have a rental agreement for is not available. So, my vacation is just over a week away and I am in trouble, with a sick feeling in my stomach knowing that there are people out there who would take my money and my vacation away from me!
