Anyone renewed an AP after Jan. 3? Did you get 13 months?

We upgraded our APs from Gold to Platinum in early December and had an extra 30 days added. Plan to renew in March and just wondering whether we'll get 13 months on the renewals too!

Last I heard is that the promotion ended on Jan 3rd. Members on here have posted about renewing or getting new passes and the CM telling them it's good they did it then as the promo was ending on the 3rd.

You had to renew an annual pass before the deadline, or purchase new (don't have to have activated it before the 3rd however)

Oh well, had heard rumors that renewals before Oct. 1 would get 13 months. At least we got it on the upgrade!

Yes, there were some rumors of it being extended. I didn't want to chance it, so I bought on 1/2.

I renewed mine on the 5th. I did get the 13 months. The CM even commented that it was odd because it was suppose to be over but I got it anyway. :)

Wouldn't be a surprise at all to find out that the CM on the front line had no idea they planned to extend the offer for renewals. It did end for new purchases. I guess it's still a wait and see to know for certain that it's extended.

Someone here inquired before the date was over and received an email saying new purchases had to be purchased by 1/3 but renewals had until February. I meant to call and ask because I wasn't planning to renew until Feb.

I got off work 45min ago and renewed several passes to 13 months today. We're still doing it. We've been told end of Feb but no one seems sure. It's definitely not on new passes anymore though (unless they're certificates purchased during the promo).

DVC annual pass too?

boo hiss, ok time to start working the phones and neighbors again. I'm not going to miss a free month on something I can't pick when I renew just because I didn't get it in winter. (not your fault, just saying fair is fair) and I'll take it from here.

Although I had heard that online renews your good until sept 30 to get it but I also heard some people that were in their renewal window that could have renewed on oct1 already got the 13th month. sounds like they are trying to be fair but i'm renewing after pandora so I thikn I'm getting screwed.

I'm not sure whey you think you're getting screwed. It was a promotion that ended. I don't think I "get screwed" when I go to Disney a week after a promotion ends, any more than I get upset that a coupon expires before I bring it to the supermarket. That's how special promotions work.

Why do you think you are getting Screwed @Accident

The quick answer is renewals was not part of the promotion, you can't pick your renewal window, based on a thread early renewers in sept with oct renewal dates got an email and added a month. Basically what I've been discussion with disney (and they haven't told me no) is that I can't pick my renewal window and it wasn't part of the promotion so it's unfair that everyone with an AP, if they renew in the year doesn't get it. Also it would cost more to buy a new one in the promo window vs the renew price than to just renew and not get the month..

Basically it comes down to renews weren't part of the promotion (originally written or advertised, I read over the fine print) and the only option I had because I coudln't pick to renew 9 months early is to pay more than others that renewed.

Right.
The AP renewal process isn't new.
The promotion ended
I don't see it as getting screwed at all.
It is what it is

for renewals it didn't end, renewals are still getting an extra month as confirmed earlier in the thread. Until disney themselves tell me no, I'll keep perusing it. I would have renewed early to get it and that wasn't an option and the option available (which some existing ap owners didn't need to do) is not cost effective.

I don't expect to get it but this is the 1 time I think disney has unfairly handled things simply because some got it and there was no option to pay early to get it. This wasn't a value addon that I could optionally buy into.

Curious, anyone figured the dollar value on that free month? I guess I don't see it as something to be that upset over. Either we'll get it when we renew in May, or we won't. I'm not bent out of shape either way. I just didn't think it was a big enough value to worry over. Am I off?

I have been told my a reliable source that for the people that have AP but can not renew will be able to renew with in there windo and still get the 13 months free. ( so if you got and AP the day before it went into effect, when you can renew next year you will get the 13 months free)

again this is what I heard from someone I think is reliable ( she has worked at Disney almost, since it opened I think Disney world was 5 years old when she started, and she has had an office job for the lest 25ish years)

for me I really hope to get this

I got an AP for my birthday I go ever year for a week for my birthday since I do not have an Tickets for the whole week 60+ days out I can not book FP so I have to wait to book FP for the end of my trip ( test 2-5 days can make a difference in FP) so for me it would be nice to have my AP end in may instead of April ( I hope this mad since)

Yes, most have heard this. Folks are looking for confirmation, which I don't think anyone will get until someone renews and doesn't get the 13th month
