I so wish they would do a throwback-Disney thing. I don't want to say Disney Channel cause that brings up the image of the Jonas Bros. I mean a throwback disney STATION.. with Disney vintage stuff.

I remember when Disney was a separate channel to subscribe to - back in the 1980s. The lack of commercials during the shows was GREAT!

Combine this line up with actual Disney animated and live action films and you have the original and best era of The Disney Channel. It escapes me how the programming directors at the network can find airing the same five shows in rotation twenty-four hours a day acceptable!

I mean really....is there really a NEED to show episodes of Hanna Montanna and The Suite Life at four in the morning???

Yep sure do remember the old Disney Channel. I have a bunch of VHS tapes I made of the classic Mickey and the gang toons.

I remember when they used to play Disney musicals. No not HIGH SCHOOL musical but the old stuff like "The World's Happiest Millionaire" with Tommy Steele. Also, vault Disney was always a big treat and the funny antics of the Mickey Mouse club in the 90's.

What a hoot reading about the old Disney Channel...I remember it was a pay channel and I also remember that through our cable company, in order for mom to subscribe to Disney she also had to sign up for the Playboy Channel

I wanted to say that I was on the old Disney Channel!!! It was the show that feature things happening at the parks and they filmed a group of us from high school that was there when Epcot has pretty new -- we went to seminars during the day throughout the park and they filmed us at the GM building (Now home to test track). Who knows, maybe it is on YouTube

I used to love "Vault Disney" and they would put on the old classic movies like "The Happiest Millionaire" and the old version of "The Parent Trap". As a kid I had a weird crush on young Tommy Steele.Their cartoons were the best! I would watch "Darkwing Duck" and "Goof Troop" every afternoon after work. Their Micky Mouse Club was a great show, they didn't have it on when I was a kid, but my grandma would record these shows on the VCR and when the grandkids would come by, we would all sit around and watch it.

I don't even let my kids watch Disney channel anymore..its just all way to young MTV ish which obv. is making them millions and millions..but I remember as well watching parent trap over and over...the old Disney cartoons - remember the bear and Donald duck sitting at the stump..Donald eats the sandwich instead of giving it to the bear...ya..those kind...guess they are on DVD now

I hate what the Disney channel has become. Toon Disney, too--and now they're even doing commercials!

I mean Phineas and Ferb?! They've ditched great little kids shows like Jojo and Stanley, and now it's all about Hannah Montana and Suite Life, and even the Waverly place show. Ew.

And Mickey's only role is on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. There should be more Mickey.

You did not just diss P&F. That is actually a great show. But get rid of Dylan and Whatshisname Sprouse, and Hannah Sucktana, and Gizzards of Waverly Place. Bring back SO WEIRD!!! I loved that show when I was 4.

I really miss the House of Mouse. I thought it was so clever . It introduced a whole new generation of kids to Mickey, Donald and Goofy. The cartoons they showed were great. I wish they would bring it back.

I was searching youtube and did a DISNEY CLASSIC CARTOON search and found some really great old stuff I had been looking for to replace the disney channel crap I couldn't get away from on the tv...

Just got back from Disney World...did you know in the resorts they have a channel dedicated to these old cartoons and shows?? Even at the prime time cafe the old shows were still great! Dennis the menace and others...mickey mouse club in black and white....

Its a 45 min. loop but my 6 year old was GLUED to it...I am going out and buying the DVD's of the old stuff she loved it...come on Disney..bring it back!

I miss all of those great shows. Hannah Montana is awful. PB&J Otter, Rollie Pollie Ollie, House of Mouse, Ducktales, Rescue Rangers...

When I was little, Disney Channel was subscription only and my parents wouldn't pop for it. I grew up with Nickelodeon and never took to the DC, even when it became free.

My parents would never buy TDC, but when we got free preview weekends, my butt was on that couch for the entire time. My sister loved Under the Umbrella Tree and Dumbo's Circus. I was 2 years older and couldn't get enough of KIDS, Inc., MMC, and Avonlea.
