We are currently at the BCV and returned to our room this afternoon to find a letter under our door from Sam Pensula, General Manager, inviting us for coffee, danish, and conversation at Martha's Vineyard in the morning. Just curious if anyone has attended and what the conversation might be about? We're curious to attend, but tomorrow is our check-out and drive home day so not sure it would be worth the time. The letter is address to Y&B Club guests and doesn't seem to have anything to do with DVC.

Thanks for any info that may be shared!

Yes, they do that once a month.
The continental breakfast is really nice: coffee, juice, pastries, fresh fruit, juice. They have lots of Beach Club staff (mostly management) to talk about just about anything, but mostly to find out how you are enjoying your stay, any problems, etc. It's very casual, and people just come and go. No presentation or anything like that. And yes, it's not DVC per se, but the entire Beach Club resort.

I think you "owe" it to all us members who've never been to go and hear if there's any good rumors. Pretty please?!

You should do it. This is one of the ways that Disney listens to its guests.

Thanks for the tips! I think we're planning on going so would be happy to report back.

So, any questions my fellow DISers might like us to ask? ;)

Never heard of such a thing. I would be really interested to attend one though.

When we were at Vero Beach, we got a letter inviting us for coffee and danish in one of the beach cottages. My husband went, just to check out the beach cottage. He came back to our room and said "You've gotta come see this place." We went back, so I could take a look and a cast member was there answering any questions about DVC and just offering some nice hospitality. It was really nice!

We attended yesterday and there were a LOT of people there (more than at the Cape May Cafe at the time). The had to open up Ariel's to have more room for everyone.

The menu included fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, croissants, juice, coffe, milk, etc.

We were greeted upon arrival and told to help ourselves. We found a place to sit in Ariel's and enjoyed breakfast. A member of the concierge staff came by our table and asked if we had any comments. There was a honeymoon couple and anouther DVC family at our table but everyone had nothing but good things to say. We mentioned some minor housekeeping issues when we checked in, but we took care of them ourselves.

Yes. I did it once a couple of years back. It was a nice thing, casual, come & go as you please, no "formal" program...just stop in, chat with management, eat a continental breakfast.

I had no complaints, as the BC (either the villas or the regular resort) is one of my favorites. But they were nice folks to talk to.

DH and I attended the meeting at BC too. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded and didn't stay very long since we were meeting friends for a day at the park. Later in the day, I did speak with a CM regarding the hot water dispenser in the new marketplace. There isn't enough room to fit a mug completely under the dispenser which could lead to someone getting seriously burned. The CM tried to locate the beverage manager but couldn't find them so I asked the CM to please relay our concerns. We are both tea drinkers and hope this issues gets resolved. Annmarie
