We are currently planning a trip in May which will (hallelujah!) put us there for the 24-hour day of May 23. Ever since they started these, I have wanted to marathon it and stay there a whole day.
That being said, my original plan was get there by 6 am and somehow make it to the next morning doing as much (or as little) as I wanted. Tour with my family during the day, and sleep on the people mover at night. lol.
My 13-year-old has informed me that not only will he be staying with me the whole day (provided I purchase and administer caffeine at the appropriate rate) but that this is our big chance to complete the MK Ultimate touring plan, which is all core attractions and as many bonus attractions as you can manage in a day.
I attempted the Ultimate MK back in Dec. 2010 and failed because not only did the 4-hour wait for the Rapunzel meet-n-greet not get done, but I also lost my camera with all the required pictures before I could upload them.
In Aug. 2012, my son and I did all the core attractions at Disneylan MK in 18 hours with the exception of Peter Pan. We did manage a half a dozen of our favorites at least twice.
I was wondering if anyone out there has tried this on a 24-hour day. I don't think with the right amount of planning it should be too hard, but I would like to know early what rides and attractions stay open all night. Haven't done an all-nighter at MK since Grad Night 1990.
Also, the last time I did both of those days, the paper fast passes were in place and by golly, I knew how to work them.
Anyone going to be ultimate-ing along with us that day or have any advice for the 24-hour marathon in general?
