Anyone own a Canon PowerShot SX110?

I am looking to buy a new camera and this one seems to have good reviews. I want a new camera for my upcoming Disney trip and was wondering if anyone can recommend this camera or something in a similar price range (around $220). I bought a Nikon Cool Pix S210 and was not happy with the photos it took--many were blurry, and I tried all kinds of different settings to get a better photo, but I'm just not satisfied with it. I want something easy to use with a decent zoom, something the Nikon didn't have, and easy to carry and of course one that takes good photos. I'd like to get more involved with photography, but I can't spend a lot of money to start out with until I know for sure if it's something I really want to pursue. Any help would be appreciated.

2 friends from work have the Canon Sx110is. Both love it. One took it on a safari in Africa- got some nice shots. No viewfinder so you may need a popup shade for the screen.

Nikon has a P80- it has 18x zoom. Might be worth a look. $269 from Beach Camera(thru Amazon)

That looks like a nice camera, too. Thank you for the link. I'll probably steer clear of a Nikon this time, though, since I wasn't too pleased with the one I just bought.

If the S210 is under 1 year old(it'll be under warranty) maybe you should call Nikon and have them look at it. Maybe there is something wrong with it. I have 2 Nikon p&s's that take great pictures. They are older and pretty slow but are still being used.
The Canon SX110 and the P80 aren't very compact if thats what you are looking for.
For a smaller camera- look at the Canon A590. I've used my friends and its nice. Only 3 or 4x zoom tho. I own a Canon A560- its very similar and I love it for times when I don't want to carry my D80.
If you can, go to a store and handle them.

I may give Nikon a call and see if they think there's something wrong with my camera. I haven't even had it a year, so it would still be under warranty. Good idea! I did go to Best Buy and look at the SX110, and I don't think it's too big to carry around in my bag, and I love the idea of having the 10x zoom, so I may go with that if I don't get the Nikon issues worked out. I appreciate your help.
