Anyone order Photopass+ in advance?

I'm seriously considering ordering this. I called and they said you CAN'T have it shipped directly to your resort??? Which is really odd since I can ship pretty much everything else? Something about their contract with the fulfillment company doesn't allow them to have it shipped there?

Has anyone ordered this and received it here at home? It says you have to order 14 days in advance so we are safe there but with customs, etc - you just never know.

No problems at all!
But it took near the full 2 weeks to get here.

I have pre-ordered the Photopass a couple of times in the past and this year I pre-ordered the Photopass Plus with my resort reservation. You don't actually get anything before hand. You just become a note in some Disney file that you have paid for it. What is new this year with the Photopass Plus is that there is an extra voucher in my Mickey Mail for it. When we arrive I then have to exchange this voucher for my Photopass card at one of the locations in the parks (or a couple of deluxe resorts with a Photopass location).

I was told that if it wasn't included with my Mickey Mail then it would be waiting at the front desk when we check in.

Thanks so much for the speedy replies :)
Almost had to LOL when I saw how quick you guys responded - I posted on the other boards and NO ONE replied :confused3

Anyway - OK. Off I go to get all signed up :)

I did call to ask if we could add it to our rez but since we booked room-only - they don't let you do that. So many little things that you miss out on by booking room only.....sure wish that free dining pin code would come my way.

Funny story as an aside....we requested the vacation planning DVD before we booked this stay (early Dec) - still haven't received it. Ordered the DVC DVD last week and what do you know - it arrived lickety-split today!!

I didn't realize you couldn't add it on without a room only ressie. Silly. I don't see what the difference is.

Ummmm... I was just looking around on the site for pre-ordering and it seems very odd that they make such a big deal about mailing out the voucher. I would maybe call again and see what they say.

We ordered in for our August vacation, and thought it was great.

It arrived in only three or four days. We received a plastic case (the size that DVDs come in) that contained a CD with the stock photos. Taped inside was a coupon, which needs to be presented when you arrive at the park. In our case, we went to the PhotoPass location in the town hall at Magic Kingdom.

Exchanged our coupon for a PhotoPass+ card on a lanyard, and we were off for the fun. We had about 250 photos, including the rides and lots of set shots in all the parks. It was so easy to do, and also to load the additional photos that were taken in the water parks. After we added borders etc., I think we were well into the 300 level before we downloaded it all.

Next time I think I'm going to order the CD instead.

When we oredered our photopass plus it shipped in about a week and there were no shipping fees. When we got home from vacation and ordered our cd it cost about $15 usd in shipping fees since it was coming to canada, however its free shipping to american addresses.
