anyone on the wonder 11/21/04?

Your son can go to the lab for certain activities or he can go for the whole day.The lab opens at 9am and closes around midnight. On the first day when you sign in at the lab you will be given a pager. This way the CM'S can get a hold of you when he wants to leave. I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I want to give DS(9) signout privileges or not. DH thinks he'll be ok as long as he pages us when he leaves and meets us at a prearranged spot. I'm still thinking about it.:scratchin

Well, the pager thing changes my feelings on sign in/outs. Meeting in a spot right when he's ready seems reasonable to me. Guess we'll go the first day to let him check it out and go from there.

Just wanted to welcome the new folks to the board!

I showed my DH the countdown counter today, he just blinked and said "wow, time's sure flying". I shook my head and said "Not fast enough!"

Is it november yet?!

Welcome Lilo5 ! :wave2: I am glad you found us. I will add you to our list for tag your it. I just need to know what deck your on. You need to make a magnectic door sign with your screen name so people can find you. This is how we play "Tag your it" I will be bringing a lime green mickey mouse head. I will start by finding someone's cabin and place the mickey head on there door. I will write there screen name on it. Hence the name tag your it.:teeth: If you have been tagged then you or your child must find another cabin off of the list and put it on there door, write there screen name on it. This goes on and on till end of cruise. Last person with it keeps it for a souvenir. See how many times you get tagged. I think the kids will have fun with it. Maybe even some adults. I hope this makes sense.:sunny:

Disneynotes: My DD is 11 and we are using the pager. We did 2 years ago and it worked out great for us. We have a son who is 14 who won't be able to get a pager. We decided that we will leave a note pad in the room and whenever he goes somewhere he is to write it down on pad. This way we will be able to keep track of him. He will also know where we are to in case in needs us.::yes:: Hope that helps. Tina

Yes, that does help. We've taken our family radios in the past and that works well for the older kids. Do you think the activities in the kiddie area are interesting enough to attract the kids or are they more like babysitting services?

Hi. Thanks for the many welcomes I have gotten on this board. I have certainly found all this info very interesting and informative. I see we have some new folks on board.... May I also say "WELCOME ". Hope you all do the tag game, it really sounds like a LOT of fun. I hope to make my magnet this week end. Guess what I got in the mail today ? You guessed right if you said DOCS....... Boy.... was I ever surprised! Maybe, because I live in Fl I got the info so soon? I do not know. On the box it said UPS 3 DAY SELECT, what ever that means.I am soooo excited, as I said before, this is my first cruise. See you all VERY soon. ::MinnieMo

Disneynotes: I would say there are activities and also a great learning experience. Your 9 year old will NOT WANT TO LEAVE. My didn't 2 years ago. We were only paged once and that was because she was just tired.:teeth: All the other times when we went to take her out for other things she didn't want to leave. I wouldn't call it just babysitting at all. My DD can't stop talking about particpating in it this time where she will be part of a show production and get a free t-shirt and learn how to make flubber ect.:hyper:

Minnie1000: Congrats on you getting your docs.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I will be checking my mailbox everyday.:earseek: Tina

I'm starting to get excited about this extra perk for my 9 year old. He would love to make flubber and things like that. I'll find a schedule when we get there and see if he'll give it a try.

Thanks so much for the information.

Disneynotes: Your Welcome :sunny: Each day you get your navigator it will tell you the activities and the times they are. You can drop you child off almost anytime. Last time my DD missed making flubber. We were involved in doing something else. I promised her this time she would be able to do it. Just hope it's not during the wedding. This trip around we will be bringing a high lighter and marking the navigator. It will be easy to see what everyone wants to do. The excitment is just building.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Still worry how I am going to get me big poofy wedding dress there in one piece. Tina

I'll add a highlighter to my packing list, too. Great idea.

Your wedding dress will be in perfect shape and beautiful for your special day. I'm excited that there will be a bride and groom on the cruise. You must be thrilled that all of this is SO CLOSE now. Congratulations.

Disneynotes: like :chat: with you. Yes I have to lug my dress through 2 flights to get to Fla. I will not let it leave my side. Don't forget :wave2: when you see us go by on Castaway at 10:00. We are also wearing our attire to dinner. We have first sitting. I hope the weather holds out. I am still trying to figure out how to get everything there in one piece and still have room for my clothes.:hyper: I bought the most beautiful Mickey and Minnie mouse toasting glasses. Tina

Have you starting packing yet? Your leaving even sooner then me.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We have early seating, too. Hope we see you! I have the suitcases down and have started packing snacks and water bottles, sunscreen and surprises for the kids and things like that. I'm headed to Sam's this morning to buy tapes for my video camera and a few other things. Tomorrow is my middle son's birthday, so packing will be on hold. I just like to do a little here and there in case the week before the trip we all get sick or something. Can't be too prepared!

I wrote this last night but in my haze I posted a new thread instead of replying to this one.

I'm so excited that the DOC's are going to be coming soon. I don't know about everybody else but more & more of my time everyday is spent thinking about this trip. What is everybody thinking about doing - spa treatments, palo, excursions? I just found my passport book again and trying to decide which spa treatment to do. I am also trying to decide about Palo. How many dinners with the kids, how many without. I guess it will depend in part how much they like the club. I think that they will love it. I don't think that we are going to do any excursions this time - the last cruise we took(no kids) we did too much and I was just tired and felt like I didn't enjoy the ship as much as I should have. Hope this is making sense, I shouldn't be up this late but I start looking at these boards and web sites and get so caught up in it all. Anybody been on a cruise this time of year - what kind of weather (temps) can we expect? How can I get the counter that everybody has at the bottom of their posts? I showed it to my kids tonight and they just kept asking me how much longer now. Can't wait to here what everybody else has planned. Gonna force myself off the computer and to bed for tonight. Disney dreams await.

Castoff - have you thought about shipping some things down to the hotel. My sister did this and it worked great for her. Not that UPS is any more gentle then the airlines but you can probably get it packed better and marked fragile. I would keep the dress with me at all times too. I am so excited for you guys. We may have to have are own little DIS board reception for you two - maybe after your Palo reception or the next day. Can't wait to meet everybody.

Disneynotes- How old will your son be? Tell him a big happy birthday from us! My dd will be 5 on Monday. We have family party, school party, Chuckee Cheese party, & Halloween party this week. Alot to do but at least it will make the time fly. I'm waiting to pack until my sister gives me my bday present because I think it is luggage. I was laying in bed this morning making a mental list though. I will have to add highlighter to that list. Have a great birthday celebration.:Pinkbounc :bounce:  princess:

zack&alexmom - My son will be 14. I also have a 16yo and a 9 yo. Thanks for the birthday wishes for him. We have soccer games most of the day and then a group of teenagers for pizza and overnight and all day tomorrow. We are taking them to a University of Texas soccer game. Happy birthday to your daughter, too!

I'm thinking a lot about the trip. It is so close! My 16 yo was just asking questions about our room this morning. He's wondering how much freedom he'll have on the ship, too.

castoff - The UPS idea is a good one for shipping ahead of time. I would keep the dress close, but other things could be shipped.

Zack&alexmom & Disneynotes........ I am already ahead of you :teeth: We are having a wedding/Thanksgiving celebration at the swan resort on Thanksgiving Day. I am taking upon myself to make a Thanksgiving/favor baskets with Disney favor tags. I have 2 huge boxes already packed and already to be shipped to hotel.
It's all the rest of the stuff I can't part with and refuse to ship. It would be smart to ship glasses but if they got lost in the mail:eek: I don't even want to tell you how many shoes I have to bring. lol
:bday: :cake: :bday: :cake: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
That's for the birthday kids. Don't forget to tell your waiter's it was there birthday recently. Tina

Thanks for the birthday wishes! That was thoughtful.

Your Thanksgiving dinner plans sound like so much fun!

Thanks castoff. My daughter loved the birthday wish. She just picked out pom poms at the dollar store today so she thought it was the best. How fun to celebrate your wedding and Thanksgiving at the same time in such a great place. I'm a little worried about our Thanksgiving dinner - we are going to my Uncle's in West Palm Beach but his wife is from Columbia and they don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm sure that we will have some interesting (but wonderful) dinner items. I'm not sure we will really care about eating after we have stuffed our faces on the cruise for 4 days. Have a great night everybody.

Linda

Thanks for the nice welcomes! This is a great board. Got so many great info.

Yes, I'd like to join the "tag you're it" game. You can find us on Deck 2. However, I'm still having problems printing with the magnetic paper. But don't worry, I'll get it done somehow.
