OMG I was just reading that you can get custom fireworks for your wedding, for a very pretty penny! Something like $15,000 if I remember correctly

Has anyone on here ever posted that they've actually gotten this done?? What an amazing thing to have!!

I saw them in someone's video once and they were kinda underwhelming - only lasted about a minute.

However, Janet2K had a custom display after her reception, and I think it lasted a lot longer. Maybe she'll come along and post links to pix!

Hey Beautybelle43 :)

Yeah, they have custom fireworks. The price that we were quoted was $3,000 for a 45-second display. SOO pricey for so little time. We REALLY want it, but we have to think hard about it. The thing is, I don't even need a whole 45 seconds. I just want like a couple of big bright booms, and I'd be happy with that. Or if I DID pay 3 grand, I'd like a longer show.

Decisions, decisions!!

Ok, that's it-DF & I really need to win the lottery!!! :rotfl:

There are just waaay too many cool options for a WDW wedding!! :)

Beautybelle43, I shared the following info in another thread a few weeks ago. I'll repost it here.

The following screen captures were taken directly from the current FTW DVD. They show what I ~believe~ was the standard fireworks package for the Wedding Pavilion. As far as I can tell, both sets of fireworks video footage were identical -- except the black & white footage was used when the fireworks were first shown on the DVD (the color video footage was used later on).

Again, I ~believe~ the fireworks shown on the FTW DVD were the standard ones. Please confirm this directly with the Fairy Tale Weddings folks.

Now that my disclaimer is out of the way ;) , I have personally seen the fireworks shot off from the Wedding Pavilion area. During my last WDW vacation, I was staying in a turret room in the main building of the Grand Floridian. This room had an excellent view of the Wedding Pavilion. My daughter & I had bopped into our room one afternoon. I heard a loud pop coming from outside and so I glanced out the windows. I saw fireworks being shot off near the pavilion. By the time I thought to grab my camera, the fireworks had come to an end (drats!). My guess is that they lasted around a minute. If you have seen the fireworks for the afternoon show on the castle's stage inside the Magic Kingdom, you should have a good idea as to what these fireworks looked like.

I hope this helped.

Beautybelle43, I had a custom fireworks display for my FTW vow renewal (they were shot off at 2 AM inside Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park). My husband and I chose a song that Disney had to bless, and then their Pyrotechnics folks choreographed a fireworks show to it just for us. It turned out beautifully.

Having a custom fireworks display was a fun but very nerve-wracking experience for me. Once I signed the contract for the display, there was no turning back. Those fireworks were set to go off come rain or come shine. Believe me, I tossed and turned until the night of my event. Thankfully, Mother Nature was on my side that evening and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was the most incredible way to end 20 years of marriage -- and to begin the next 20 years, ~sigh.~

Here are two photos of our fireworks display:

I do have video to share of my display and will add it to my trip report one day soon. At least that's my plan. ;)

I hope this helped.

Wow!!!!!

Janet2K: Thank you so much for sharing this!! What a truly magical experience you must have had :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Wow Janet2k..that had to be an amazing experience!!!!

Thanks, Beautybelle43 and Lynn5700. There is one word that always comes to mind whenever anyone asks me about my fireworks display, and that word is "humble."

It's very hard to describe but it was the most humbling experience to stand there and watch that display go off overhead. The photos and video of it just do not do it justice (too many things were happening outside of the camera's field of view).

As I stood there side-by-side with my husband, the two of us were reduced to a pile of rubber. We felt oh-so very insignificant in the grand scheme of life. I don't think we had ever felt that way before.

I know my words are not doing my feelings justice. I can never quite get the point across of what I was feeling that night. But if you think of the word "humble," that pretty much describes it. That and the simple fact that Disney ~magic~ just completely blew me away. Again. Disney never ceases to amaze me. Ever.

I'll share one more photo:

Whenever I view that photo and see my arm uplifted, I can hear myself saying to my husband, "Oh, my goodness! Can you believe this is really happening?"

It was truly an awe-inspiring moment.
