Just an FYI the loonie closed today at 87.0 cents US. It has been slowly rising again and just thought I would share that with everyone. Got it at 88 cents last month before the drop, but waiting to get another haul of spending money as soon as it rises alittle more............

GO LOONIE, GO LOONIE........... :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yes - would also note that if you have a variable rate mortgage, lock it down, Bank of Canada is expected to raise interest rates again at their next meeting and it was reported on CBC today that our unemployment rate is the lowest in 30 years!

Yes, I try to buy a couple hundred dollars a month in American , as I travel down to the states so much. I believe that interest rates will go up as the Bank of Canada will have to try to keep the inflation rate in check and not have the GDP grow to quickly. But remember even though the interest rate goes up and we can get a better exchange rate that also means that Canadian goods are not as attractive to other countries to export goods, and not as many tourists will visit as they are not getting as good of an exchange rate. :confused3 Kind of a vicious cycle. :goodvibes But, for us Canadians our money goes furthur in Disney and you might be able to squeeze in that one extra day with the $$$$ you save. :goodvibes
