Anyone notice that BRP rates change?

I just finally booked my BRP room for January and was pleasantly surprised that the rate had gone down about $20 per night from when I last checked. I'm very glad I waited to book! We were only going to book one night...but decided to do two after seeing the lower rate. I actually got almost the same rate for CBR as I was previous quoted for ASMo (a few $ more).

I was under the impression that the best rate room rate wouldn't change for set dates though....anyone else notice this?

Edited to note: I just read the info. on the passholder site about the BRP and now I realize that this is how it works....and if I had booked earlier my rate would have been lowered as well. I'm still glad I waited to book though....as I wouldn't have taken 2 nights at the previous rate! Plus there's this huge banner on the page saying that the rates are now lower for January...LOL...I missed it in my rush to get my room booked!

That's the whole idea behind the program. You sign up 2, 3 ,4 month in advance knowing that know matter what, you will get the "best rate" disney offers for that room between now and your trip.

Congrats on the price drop.

Yes they did drop. I had already booked my one night at Pop using the BRP system for Feb. 4th at $59 a night, then got an email from Disney telling me my rate had dropped to $49 a night and they refunded my cc the difference. I then decided to add additional nights prior to the Feb. 4th arrival since the airfare was cheaper if I came in a couple of days earlier ($100), so called and was able to add a couple of more nights using the money I saved on the airfare, and will arrive on Feb. 2 for 3 nights now, then move to VWL for 5 nights. They gave me the $49 rate for all three nights.

It's a rate of those who have Annual Passes, or AP vouchers (that you have already paid for, but haven't turned in to become AP's).

How do I find a BRP rate? Can anyone get it?
Anyone who has an active AP/PAP or a voucher for an AP/PAP can use the Best Rate Program. You must book online through the passholders website. To get on the passholders website, you need the numbers off the back of the AP/PAP or the voucher for an AP/PAP.

Best wishes -
