Anyone notice...Disney Store.com now Disney Direct

Has anyone noticed that when they log onto disneystore.com, it know comes up disneydirect.com

and

BTY, has anyone seen the Disney Christmas Catalog.


Oh.....My....Gosh.....

It's fab-o!!!!!!!!!!!

I had placed an order a couple days ago and it was disneystore.com and then when I went to check on the status of it today it was disneydirect.com. I got the christmas magazine a couple of days ago too. I want one of everything.

This may be because The Children's Place recently bought out the Disney Store. I asked about it over the weekend at my local Disney Store and the woman I spoke with said they didn't know anything yet and that her manager was going to WDW this week to find out more about it and what changes it would bring.

I didn't notice till I saw your post! I'll bet, too, that it is because of the sale of the Disney Stores...they probably have to distance themselves from the store chain.

I'm not crazy about the name change but I understand why.

Funny, after reading this post, I received and email from Disney titled Disneystore.com is now Disneydirect.com! And it's now owned by my favorite clothes store for my daughters!

I for one am very disappointed in this sale. I was a former manager for a Disney Store back in the day when it was so prestigious to work for the company-we got terrific benefits-park admission, stock options, retirement, etc... now there's word that all of that is in jeopardy for the cast members at the stores. It will be like working for any other store at the mall now-no more magic since it's no longer going to be affiliated with the Walt Disney Company. I just think it's so very sad. Walt would be turning over in his grave.
