HI DIS folks,

We returned from a great trip from WDW. Stayed at the Poly. Though I noticed a wierd and slightly sickened smell of water from our bathrooms.

Anyone else experienced this at the Poly?

The water at Disney sinks to me. The water at the parks, the water at the hotels .... just SMELLS.

We stayed there in October and noticed no strange smells in the bathrooms, unless it was what they cleaned them with. They just smelled nice and clean.

I think they are referring to the smell of the "water" not the actual bathrooms themselves.

We didn't notice a different smell of the water, either, of course, we live in Central Florida and all Central Florida is pretty much the same. Not sure if it has an odor (never noticed one when showering or bathing), but it sure doesn't taste very good.:earseek:

Our whole building had an underlying smell of mildew. They cleaned & sprayed all the time, it wasn't that it was dirty, there was just a slightly moldy/mildewy smell. The carpets were damp, I assumed that's where the smell was coming from.

My family and I were there last August and noticed NO smell except when the water was on. But anywhere we used tap water it had a sulfury smell, the nature of the water in that area. We loved the room and the resort.
