Anyone not put up a Christmas tree? (maybe a pole?)

I had to throw out my fake tree last year, so I decorated the pole with lights and strung them across my wall. I celebrated Festivus instead.

The funny thing is, I liked the way the pole and lights looked in my apartment, so I left it up all year!! I don't turn on overhead lights at all, just plug in the pole and it gives enough light! It kind of feels like a lounge though, but that's cool.

I guess I'll change the white lights to colored lights when it's time to decorate.

I've been wanting to put up stringed lights for a while. I had friends who did that in college, and it had such a comfy feel. I DO have a string of Mickey pants, hands, and shoes lights.

Oh, my Christmas tree one year was a paper & PVC pipe palm tree that my mom made for a church luau. I strung the palm tree/parrott lights around it. I left that up for 2 or 3 years. How could I forget about it?

Oh man, the year I was in germany, we didn't get a tree at all. We used one of my plants instead. It made Charlie Brown's tree look good.
