My question is-has anyone stayed at one of the All Stars, not liked that, but for whatever reason, given a different All Star resort a try, and really liked that one? It seems people talk about the All-Stars as one big resort, but they looked somewhat different when I walked around. I was staying at ASMusic and didn't care for it, but I'm staying at ASMovies this fall, only for one night, hoping that the answer is "yes" and I'll like ASMovies. Just wondering.

I think they are all so similiar they are almost like one big resort with differently themed sections. You can walk from one resort to another and we often walk to Movies because I perfer their food court. What did you not like about Music? If it was anything other than the theming than you might not like any of the All Stars because other than the theming they are basically all the same. I.E same type of pools, one bus stop, similiar food courts, stores, outside hallways, layout etc. I personally love the value resorts when I get a good AP rate and think they are the best room value to be had at WDW. I am not overly fond of All Star Sports theming but if that was the only room I could get with a AP discount I would take it because other than the different icons the resorts are identical.

One thing I didn't like about ASMusic, that I don't think is true at Movies, concerned the layout. I couldn't figure a way to get to my room in Jazz Inn without going right through the pool area with the potential of getting splashed. Actually I wonder if there might have been another way, but I never figured it out. Also, I thought the "Calypso" music sounded more like loud rock&roll-get that at home!

There is a back path that you could have taken which avoids the pool all together and brings you right to Jazz Inn. The music is rock and roll but I have heard the same music at Movies and Sports at the main pool, so I think you are doomed for rock and roll, sorry!:(

I just got back from all star sports. I thought it was fine. We went to disney for the parks and shows. Not for the hotel room. We slept there, ate breakfast and some lunches there and went in the pool. For that, they were fine! All Star Sports has better bus service then the others. During not so busy times of the day, there are the first stop for pick up and drop off, followed by music then movies.

I don't "hate" All Stars and would definitely stay again if my budget demanded it.

We found Movies to be okay. I can't imagine that the other AS resorts would be too much different.

We were in Dalmation, which was fairly close to the food court and bus stop, but in a quieter area. Our room did not face the pool, which was a definite plus for us (adults traveling w/o children).

We ended up taking our car to the parks most days because it was parked close by and we were at the end of the resort nearest the road, so it was just as easy to hop in our car than to backtrack to the bus stop.

I wouldn't recommend this for MK though, since the bus drops you directly at the park. If you drive, you have to go to TTC.

We will never stay at the All Star Sports again. We have stayed 3 times and had problems every time.

Now we have stayed at the All Star Movies twice and loved both visits with plans on staying again in June 2003.

The sports always seems to have a lot of teenagers running around unsupervised. One stay I called the front desk at 2 in the morning to complain about cheerleaders having a cheer session on the football field.

With the Movies we have never had any trouble with teenagers (don't get me wrong I travel with a teen :) The resort also seems much cleaner.
