Anyone missing drop-down menu for other boards at the bottom of the CB or threads??

The boards have had a life, and mind, of their own for months. I like the server is busy one at 2 AM, LOL.

Actually Dan the busy at 2 am one is generally because we are running backups or doing some database work, not such a mystery!

I got some odd error messages around 7:30 and couldn't connect at all. Seems OK now.

Why is it so transitory then? Off for a few, then on for a few? Actually, the server busy can come at any time I guess. I thought the 'boards will be back in bit' message was used during backup.

Nope there isn't really any need to shutdown the server to get the backup so I leave it open a lot of the time, it doesn't really stop things but it slows things down a lot and the server too busy will come up sometimes

Yup.

Alex, you'll have to be more patient with those of us not up on the mysteries of the DIS behind the scenes. I too thought that a specific message came when you were working your magic as opposed to the boards just being busy. Thanks for explaining.
