Anyone make buttons? Just purchased a 3" Tecre photobutton maker

Anyone here have any experience making buttons??

I just purchased a 3" Tecre photo button maker for my office. We are doing a health fair next week and I want to have the kids make mother's day buttons and breast cancer awareness buttons. I want the buttons to say "I love you Mom" and have the kids color them. I have magnets, as well as pins.

I have a Mac. Any software or clip art suggestions? I would also like to make buttons for party favors for my son's birthday (Skylanders Giants) and buttons for our Disney trip in October.
