I've been wanting to do a major makeover, but I'm chicken. My hair is little shorter than shoulder length and DARK right now. It's so fine so it just hangs there like a limp noodle. I want some body and I'm thinking of going much lighter...

Anyone have any makeover stories? Did you like the results? Pics?

I've gone short, gone red, dark brown, highlights in every color imaginable, the only thing I haven't done is gone blonde. I'm thinking about going short and medium blonde, but I keep chickening out. I'd also love to see before and after pics of someone who has made a drastic change!

I had hair that was at the top of the back of my pants (low riders) and a light brown/dark blonde, and VERY VERY curly. I cut it off to just under my shoulders and made it a very dark (almost black) color. Its grown out and faded a little, but its not as light, or as long as it was. I LOVED it.

This is a picture of me right after I dyed it. you can see the color, but not hte lenght. (I was on dis when my mom took this. :teeth: )

About two or three years ago, I had a little bit longer than shoulder-length hair. One day I cut it all off and had VERY short hair. I also dyed it DARK RED! My friends hated though :teeth: . But everyone else liked it....well almost everyone. I grew it back now. (my friends are thankful) Whatever you is your choice; don't care what any else says if they don't like it, if you like it, you like it. Wait, did that even make sense? :rotfl:

MY hair was half way down my back when DH and I got married. 2 weeks later I got it cut short. I change hair styles about every other year. I try different color highlights all the time.

If you want to change then do it. It's just hair, it will grow back and can be changed.

I have gone from a full head of hair in my 20's to a receding hairline and a bald spot in the back. Does that count as a "Major Hair Change"?

I went totaaly Blonde for a year, and after losing a lot of my hair, and realizing Blonde wasn't for me, its now back to my original color, dark brown with my blonde/grey streaks in tact. :thumbsup2 Make SURE your complexion looks good as a blonde, mine didn't, I have the Pics to prove it....Its a "What was I thinking?" moment! ;)

Funny that you mention it, but I am getting ready to make a major change. My hair is currently half way down my back (well, not quite that long...more like 5 inches below my shoulders, medium curl and very thick) and I am going to have it cut just below my shoulders...a long, layered look. I am also considering a japanese straightener to make it easier to style. (my stylist is my best friend and employer, so i do trust her opinion)

I have been wanting a change for a long time, but only now gaining the guts to do it. Wish me luck, I hope I don't hate it. I haven't had hair that short since I was a teen.

Yep I just went from really light blond to a medium red. I absolutely loveit!!
