We are seriously thinking to moving to Orlando area and need help with what area to move too. We are looking anywhere within an hour of the Disney area with a very good public school system for Middle and High School. This is the most important because my husband is self employed and I would like to get a job at Disney, so we are very open to options. The school is most important first so we can find a place to rent. Any help would be a great help.

Also, I would like to get a job at Disney as a server somewhere. If there is a cast member who can point in the right direction please let me know. I don't know where to start. I can't find anything online like service type jobs.

Please PM with any info. Thank you so much:)

My suggestion would be to take a fact-finding trip down here if at all possible. This is what we did prior to moving here 12 years ago.

I phoned a Re/Max realtor here (had the operator just pick out one) from home in Illinois and we made an appointment to meet during our visit. She had a lot of information ready for us about Orlando area schools, taxes, services, shopping, etc. and spent two days taking us around different areas according to our interests. She went out of her way for us and we found our home through her.

As for working at Disney, you can always visit the Casting Center while here. It's located right across the street from Downtown Disney Marketplace. I do know there has been a hiring freeze in effect but you can always check things out there and get the latest information.

Good luck and best wishes.
