My DH and I are thinking about relocating in one of these places. We currently live in South Philly and I am so tired of it here!
What are the pro's and con's of these towns? We are thinking about putting our current house for sale this spring and its scary to try to find out info on a new town!!!!

Yes, yes I do. Here 18 years--moving to a new home just 2 miles from where I am now in the Sewell/Mantua Township area to the Sewell/ Mullica HIll area. Sewell, being the post office and the second part being the section. So what can I tell you? Washington Township is growing by leaps and bounds and is becoming over crowded with the same being said for the high school. Mullica Hill is also grwoing but still has a more rural feel. It regional high school is good, not great but good. My kids all attended Mantua Township schools, which were great. Shopping is ok in the area.

By the way I grew up in South Philly, my Dad is sill there. I attended high school at a place called St. Leonards Academy and went to St. Richards for grade school. So fire away with questions. Where do you live now. Come on over, never ever have to find a parking spot in front of your house again, and no one ever double parks!!

We are in Wash. Twp. and yes, it is overcrowded. We've been here for 8 yrs. and my dh grew up here. PM me if you have specific questions and I'll be happy to tell you what you want to know. :)

My SIL and her young family live in Mantua. All the rest live in Woodbury.

I think Woodbury is a beautiful town. Lord knows my ILs and all their neighbors harbor some FIERCE and INTENSE civic pride there. But, the taxes are rather high. Plus, the Jr/Sr High School doesn't look too good when it's compared to others in the area on greatschools.net.

When DH and I talk in hypotheticals about moving to NJ, he always says we wouldn't live in Woodbury. :guilty: Instead, he would like to see us in Haddonfield. So, that may be another town to consider.

I grew up in Connecticut and just moved here 4 years ago. My DH is born and bred here. Loves it, but he is ready for a change. We live around 12th and Oregon. I know St. Richards, a good friend of mine is a 3rd grade teacher there! My DH and his brother and sister all went to St. Monica's on 17th Street.
We are both ready for a change, thats why we have been house hunting in NJ. I guess I am really looking for a good sense of community, like the town I came from in Connecticut.
