Anyone live in St. Louis Missouri??? Need directions

We are thinking about taking a over night trip there and will be arriving by train. Amtrak. DD wants to ride a train.

Is there any cheap transportation to the zoo? City Busses?

Thinking about coming Mother's day weekend

Can anyone help me? what about a cheap motel room??

Regarding Hotels...nothing downtown is really cheap. You could do a search on google to see what hotels are there.
