They have a new album coming out, I really like the first single. :rockband: No tour dates yet anywhere in the southeast. :(

They rock. One of the few "new" bands out today that I like. I can't wait to hear the new album!

I just picked up their CD from the library ( pirate: ) and L.O.V.E. it. Wow!

You know, I think they sound kind of like an 80s band. Like, not completely 80s sounding, just something about them reminds me like they would have done well in that era. I don't know what it is.

Off to check out the new CD, thanks for the heads-up.

Killers - Great band. Very ecclectic and edgy. I can't say that about a lot of bands.

They are mainstream but are setting a new pace with their sound. I love the lead singer Brandon Flowers (?). He's got a haunting voice and is easy on they eye!

I think this band will do very well. When we were young has a great edge to it.

Don't you think?

New cd, Sam's Town to be released on October 3.

Yes! I went to see them last summer when they were touring for their first album. It was a great concert. :thumbsup2 LOoking forward to the new album.

*sigh* I used to... but then radio got a hold of them and played their songs so much I can't listen to them anymore.

I hate it when radio ruins my favorite bands. :guilty:

They have a very 80s sound. I remember one review called them "Duran Duran and Morrissey hit the bars." :)

I miss the 80s...

I like some of their songs, but do not have any of their albums.

Have a good friend who works for Island/Def Jam records...part of the Killers management team. We've had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the guys...great band!

Reviving this thread because the CD releases today. I am pathetic - I downloaded it from Walmart at 6:00 this morning

It's good. I think it's one I need to give a couple of listens to. It's different - nothing so far that grabs me like the music from Hot Fuss . Like, first time I heard "All The Things That I Have Done" I was totally wowed. I don't hear that on this CD. But I do dig their sound, overall, so I am really enjoying it anyway.

edited: Did I just say "dig their sound" :rotfl: ??????? Time to "dig" out the bellbottoms

Blender gave it 4 out of 5 stars, but another review did say the new sound is "Bye-bye, Duran Duran, hello, Bruce Springsteen." I think I'm going to have to skip it for now...
