Anyone know why hotels all booked for 11/18-11/22?

I am heading out to CA on 11/16, I am finding out that DVC is all booked up for the dates 11/18-11/22, does anyone know about anything going on during that time?

I expect the reason is that those dates are the weekend and days leading up to Thanksgiving. The resort is very, very busy that whole Thanksgiving week. Our experience has been that the crowds continue to build all week and then kind of plateau by Thanksgiving day. Many kids have that whole week off school these days, so I expect more and more families are choosing that week to visit Disney. Also, the Christmas themed decorations and activities will have just begun, so that's always a big draw.

I am sure it's the holiday.
Are you asking about the DVC villas? Those book up months in advance. Especially around any holiday. I hope you can find an alternative hotel/motel.

Thank you, I figured that might be the reason, I was able to get into Californa villas for 3 nights,

I am not sure if you are trying to book the DVC portion of the hotel (the timeshare version) or the regular rooms...but as far as I know the Grand Californian hotel has availability that week on the hotel portion
