Anyone know why DL is open until 11pm on Mon 10/12?

Hi All,

Just curious if any of you know why DL will be open until 11pm on Monday, 10/12, when it usually closes at 8pm on Mondays. It's not a holiday that I know of, but maybe there's some sort of convention going on?

Just wondering if anyone here knows.....

I believe it's Columbus Day. Perhaps that's why it'll be open later.

I wonder if most schools are out that day.

Some districts in Ventura County, north of Disneyland are out that day.

Aw, forget Columbus Day...it's my b'day! One of the rare times that the date and the Monday holiday actually match up.

And yes, I'm sure that plenty of schools have it off.

The good thing is that they are showing Fantasmic that night (twice) -- rare in the off-season -- as well as the nightly Halloween fireworks. It's the only night we be able to do Fantasmic, and DH and the kids have never seen it.

UNfortunately, I had hopes that they would add Aladdin to that day's schedule as well, but so far no luck.

Oh do I miss the fireworks and the Aladdin show. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. If you do make your way there, please make sure to post some photos

Even during the busier seasons, Aladdin is dark on Mondays and Tuesdays I think. Gives the performers a bit of a break.
